I'm not sure that you quite understand that the CEO and COO of an organisation report to the board, not the other way around.
I'd far rather have Roo than some faceless accountant. That makes two former players on our board, Andrew Payze played a whole 14 games, but is a widely respected administrator.

You have one former player on your board, was that 'jobs for the boys'? Ricciuto is a replacement for Hurley and given he is Hurley's protege in the hotel industry, pretty solid appointment.

Agreed, Ross was a tosser and there is definitely some of that in the bloodline.

Yes I'm comfortable with the media links because Roo tells it like it is. He will add some passion to the board. Just remember that there is Rucci, Tredrea, Ginever, Dittmar, Abernethy, Riddell locally and Koch who has national media access. Whilst not all are directly linked, they are all obviously Port people who have access to appease the masses. I think there will be a number of changes at the AFC soon, which is not before time.

TOLD it like it is, Vikingblood. Past tense. Congratulations on losing your one non-sycophant voice in the media. It's a pity, I actually didn't mind the guy before his new job title necessitated him becoming a new Cornes/Rowe/Jarman.

No more 100% correct but inconvenient truths coming out of Roo now that he's on the Camry payroll. The powers that be saw an 'agitator' among the customers and they found a way to quickly shut it down before the questions from the wider public (not on BF from the relatively knowledgable supporters, but from the casuals who significantly outnumber the BF types and who probably barely know who Stephen Trigg is) got too severe. We have always been at war with Eurasia.

Time will tell. There will always be someone to step up and criticise where necessary. TBH I'm not even sure why Roo does the radio gig, it's not like he needs the money. And as I pointed out, there are plenty of Port voices out there who are free to criticise as they please and 'keep the bastards honest'.
