How many Essendon players would get a game in our side?

I would say Ryder, McVeigh and possibly a fit Lucas.

That is it.

No goggles or patches here. over the last 9 weeks, our game style has been configured and we have conceded 92 points on average.

Essendon has the second heaviest scores 'against' them week in week out. That is fact!

Have a look at the for and against in the percentage before commenting on that.

Fact. Essendon Scores for: Average, 89 Against, 121.83

Carlton is scores for, 96.83, against, 101.91....

Massive differences. This has come down considerably in the last 9 weeks.

You obviously haven't seen the defensive side of our game which was introduced round 4 after losing to your mob, depsite scoring 130 points.

Our loss to you was the wake up call that are continuous attacking football didn't get us wins despite high scores, it embarrassed us.

No team has scored higher than your 150 against us since round 3 - and we have managed to keep 6 sides below 100 resulting in 6 wins - something we had nott done in 25 matches. The 3 occasions the opposition scored over 100 points, they won. Those sides, quality top 8 sides. Essendon is not that - nor are we for that matter.

You have to understand that since round 3, our game plan has significantly changed, and our defenders are to thank for that.

You can use round 3 to assist you in believing tomorrow will be shoe in, but tomorrow will be a completely different game to Round 3.

Good luck tomorrow never the less.

Never said Essendon were a shoe-in and I believe that Carlton will win, but not with the ease that some of your fellow posters are predicting.

I stopped reading there.

I can't work out if it is just blind bias or stupidity...

You may as well not post on a football forum if you are going to come out with such garbage.

How good do you actually think your team is?

Not even Geelong are that good that only two of our players would get a game for them.

depends on which fevola comes to play. if he gets a couple of decisions go against him early, he'll put the hands on the hips and put cue in the rack.

Funny isn't it? I just find it amusing to see these clueless Carlton supporters thinking that all of a sudden they're a good side.

We've hardly had a carlton supporter on here for a year.

They have now crawled out of the woodwork with their crystal ball predictions.

If they lose, the same culprits will go missing.

If they win, it will be "We told you so"

What is also a fact is that you haven't played Hawthorn, Sydney or the Dogs.

Your ladder position and stats flatter you greatly.

It doesn't matter if they beat us, we're an ordinary side also. Lets see where they are when they come up against the bigger teams, i think it would be a nice reality check for them

How do you think i feel, i'm going to the game tomoz with one Essendon mate and 4 Carlton mates. Definately going to have to numb the senses before the game.....

Get the goggles off mate.

As a collective group Reimers, Lonergan and Myers have shown more than Armfield, Grigg and Browne yet you say that the 3 Essendon youngsters are average at best.

Here is a tip - Let them play 50+ games before you start calling them average at best. I am sure you would like the same courtesy to be afforded to your youngsters.

Would you like a little wager on this 8 goal margin you are so confident of?

I will give you odds of $5.50, minimum bet is $100. :thumbsu:

If I thought you would pay I would take those odds in a heartbeat, alas, I dont believe that to be true!

He seems pretty credible to me, I'd take those odds. Being the uni student I am $100 can be a pretty good night out, take him on buddy.

This game will either be either side <15 points or Carlton by 5goals ++ that's my prediction.

Absolutley gutted, i live on the gold coast and on sunday i have the option to watch sydney vs melb on free to air, or sydney vs melb on fox sports. it's insane! the same game on both at the same time. work it out afl... how depressing is sydney vs melb gonna be. could possibley be the most boring game the planet has ever seen. much rather watch a blockbuster essendon vs carlton..:mad::mad:

the dream time game wasnt on free to air or fox in perth in favour of the eagles game on both channels, the pub used some satalite feed from NT tv or something so i was able to watch it still :)

Carlton would be paying around $3.90-$4.00 with the bookied for this margin so of course i had to offer him over the odds otherwise he could just go bet on the bookies.

You do realise it's gonna be raining all day tomorow?

. Lucas however is an absolute gem. He still looks under done. I would hate to see him get injured again.

He is an absolute gem but even fully fit would struggle to get a game at the Blues.

Richmond supporters are in danger of losing the 'closet award' imo. I dont know but it just seems that most of them are everywhere at the moment making up for lost time and talking crap. I'd like to know stats of how many have just started posting lately. Nothing against the genuine posters but the others are making me sick. ;)

We do lack a CHF player. Fish/Betts chip in but our midfield kicking goals is a key at the moment, as it was at WCE in the last few years.
We have Hartlett that could slot into CHF in the reserves, but he keeps getting injured.. unlucky bastard.
