Hard to have any complaints about that. What a great performance. Contributions all over the park. Errol got cleaner as the game got scrapper somehow. He, Warner and Heeney were unbelievable and absoliteoy smashed their midfield.

Grundy was immense, and generally what a trade period for us last year. Grundy, Adams and Jordon all look like important players for us (we're really making the most of what Jordon can offer), and now we've got Hamling to call on next week - having the choice between him and Francis to replace a KPD is a nice spot to be in.

Just great stuff all round.
Jordan did a terrific 'unsung' job today - he just keeps plugging away. He is not a superstar showy footballer, but a nice foil to have in the mix (much like Rowy is a great mix to the rest of our midfield group) and does his thing. He will only get better in time too - still has a lot of upside. Looks an absolute bargain beauty at this point.

Votes were ****en hard

Felt like a lot were in the running for BOG

Gudlen can see why he won the medal

Heeney good all day

Grundy amazing imo

Hayward match winner

Warner in it all day

Jmac close to the best wing in the comp
He is having a terrific year. Definitely a confidence player - but when he is playing well, invariably the Swans are playing well. Has been great all season, but super today in tough conditions not necessarily suited to his style of footy. Like many of his team mates, 2024 is proving the year where a lot more of his tackles 'stick' - that strength challenge many of our younger players were facing is disappearing.

So many big winners on the day out there for us - a really solid, all round team performance.

Best game of the season for my mind . slow first quarter then smashed them all over the ground for the rest of the game. Grundy's best game for us after Briggs was dominant in the first quarter. Warner was probably BOG , Heeney again was in everything , Hayward four goals in those conditions and some great forward pressure. Jordan keeps on surprising me. Gulden got going second half. Melican is showing he is one of the better defenders in the comp. Everyone put in today.
Still think from what GWS showed in the first quarter that they will be challenging for top four at the end of the season. As much as i dislike them they have class players all over the ground.
Just hope McCartin is ok was playing well before he went off. At least we have some options to cover for him.

Changing of the guard as a team imo

Q2 when challenged in the contest in previous years we go to water , today complete opposite as we were the bullies and went to work.

We are a contender if we play that brand.

Jordan killed Whitfield

Logan needs to lift his game as a presence.

Rampe and setting up alone brings a difference.

i've mentioned this at other times this season: i reckon this team has been really toughened up by the hard times going back to the 2022 grand final ...
there's a maturity and composure, but also a toughness ... i reckon grundy gets a bit of credit for that, he's an athletic beast, a power ruckman but a monster midfielder too, and his presence has lifted the core midfield group ...
and with adams and jordon too, there's a sense of resilience ... we hang in there and turn it around, and we've done that a few times this season
7-1!

We won that game at the contest. Started with Grundy's ruck craft, well supported by our hard and uncompromising midfield and bookended by the defence. Warner was superb, Heeney and Rowbottom not far behind. Wilbur was the best forward on the ground, Rampe the best back.

Only negative of the day was the hit on Tommy. Brown needs to get 4+ weeks for that disgusting act.

Super interesting game with the passing deluge then drying conditions tbh

When the weather came we were better prepared and harder made the whistle go our way

Amartey kicked a goal and missed one, but he doesnt do enough often enough

Only fox had less game time and only just, we are carrying him in terms of workrate and just presence, he sits more often than he is out there almost

Geelong is the real test for that toughness for mine. They definitely won't be playing the team of kids they bullied in 22 next time around.

Did someone bemoan our lack of Clamps this week? Well have no fear, we have found the new clamps, Jordan. He has the added bonus of bringing much better skills and can do more than just lock down. Melbourne must be kicking themselves for letting him go.
Jordon is everything I wanted Stephens to become

Same as Logan today

Logan can run out the game, works out the ground, get in passages of play.

4 score involvements , 11 touches at least a solid contribution
