I would say Juice, but don't whipping boys have to be at the very least semi regular members of the starting 22. it's hard to lay into someone when they're never actually playing for you.

I guess we'll have to wait before we see who melbournes new whipping boy is

with raph injured, would have to be mcqualter or peake.
friggin mcqualter and peake.

haha all the times I cursed Peake while he was at freo. Can't believe we got a pick for him

I know it might cause some pain but I laughed so hard when he kicked the ball across field in the GF

Was Hale, with him gone, remains to be seen
Agree on Hale but I'd say Thomas has taken the mantle now. Prone to a bit of love-hate as when he's on he can kick bags and win games off his own boot (Carlton, Freo) but when he's off, well, it's like we only have 21 blokes out there.

Urquhart perhaps not too far behind, purely because he has so much skill but we don't see it often enough and he goes missing.

Why? I reckon he's as solid, consistent and dependable as they come. Gets the job done week after week without any fuss.

Chad I could see, and would have expected, but I don't get why Kane would cop the wrath of fans?

He does cop a lot as he gets a lot of ball yet doesn't really damage the opposition with it (Port's Stanton). He's also been known to storm out of b&f awards nights when he hasn't voted as well as he would have liked, and some supporters think he is a selfish player looking for cheap possessions.

I like to focus on Kane's strengths - he is probably the best tagger in the game now that Ling and Kirk are history - and he rarely plays a poor game.

I reckon bigger whipping boys on our list are Justin Westhoff and Daniel Motlop.
