It's time to get serious at the trade table so we can get what/who we need..

Freo have the power defenders we need, tarrant/Silvani just to name a couple.. To get them we will need to trade a Perth lad, sorry guys but Bower is replaceable and will have to go for us to move forward...

After Jacobs game today, there is no way he will be let go and deserves his place in our side well infront of Hammer...

Bower is replaceable, but so is Mackie.

Doesn't mean you don't want them in your side.

You simply need them played in position.

A trade of Bower for Tarrant or Silvagni would be downright moronic IMO. I don't care how many picks we get in return.

If Austin steps up to take the CHB position, who from a chat to the Bullants runners, is held in ridiculously high esteem by the Carlton hierarchy, then Bower becomes a far better player in the role that he is most accustomed to.

I agree, it would be fantastic if "Hampson" could fit the role at CHB. He's tall, strong and very quick for his size. One of the fastest at the club over 20 meters.
But has he the footy nous to play that role.
Maybe over the summer and pre season they get SOS or Southby or someone just to take him through a few scenarios. Then in the practise matches play him at CHB and just leave him there. He may be a slow learner but the upside to him finally getting it would be huge.

Still a few gaps to fill. Need a new FB, maybe a CHB depending if Austin comes good, another HBF to play on both talls/smalls. HF up for grabs, probably Yarran if he improves his fitness & attack on the footy. Room for a Waite type swingman on the bench.
If we could fill 3 of these blanks next year either through trades or players improving and demanding the position then we are a chance at top 4 IMO.

Warnock, Jacobs and Kreuzer can all function in one team for mine. Warnock is dangerous deep as is Big K. And Jacobs can take a big pack mark whilst run to every stoppage.
