the pressure we are getting by having a high number of rotations through the middle (instead of just the same 3 or 4 players all game) makes life so much easier for our intercepting defenders. Everything starts from there. We get the ball back easier, higher up the ground and our mids and flankers are able to get out into space, which makes it easier to play on quickly. That one change has been transformative. Oh and having Sicily and Gunston back hasn’t hurt either!

The majority of us know where we’re at mate. We’ll have more games like this but some on the other side and f ledger too. Being so young with an uptempo game style it’s inevitable so we need to enjoy the wins while we can.

Oh definitely enjoy it, I certainly am!

Being an Arsenal fan though, who are similar to where hawthorn are, extremely young team performing well, I’ve seen how quickly some can / will turn when we have the inevitable shocker. Just hope we all keep our heads when it happens.

Until then, we’re on top of the ladder so milk it for all it’s worth!!!

He was really good IMO, bar that one early misjudgment. He should have just backed himself to attack the ball instead of trying to block out the forward.

So refreshing seeing us play with an attacking mindset. The new style must be completely liberating for the players.
