Let’s face it we have no selection integrity. Hannan getting a game is a joke, Williams did nothing in his half, McNeil kicks 5 and doesn’t get in. We play a very unstructured team and wonder why we give up control for long spurts

I just hate the constant structure merry go round. What other club flip flops between tall numbers at both end of the ground. some weeks we have 3 tall defenders, 2 tall forwards and 2 rucks. Other weeks we could go with 2 tall defenders, 1 ruck and 2 tall forwards. It just can't be good for connection.

Often our midfield is good enough to compensate. But the weight on their shoulders is too heavy to carry us into a top 4 spot.

We have a couple of players in there mid 20's who are sitting in the 2's despite injuries to KPPs. Surely you bring in one of them.

Keath is a huge loss, look pretty small down back against Balta, Lynch and Riewoldt. More important than ever now to win that midfield battle and around the ground because their talls could really get on top

The flip side is if we can just get the ball to ground, Dale, Daniel, Williams, Duryea, Richards etc will absolutely run the hell out of the ball back through the middle. Lynch and Riewoldt won't put on a ton of pressure there, Balta is athletic, but Bevo will be banking on the backline run being a big strength. Would have still like to see Buku as a 3rd tall / intercept guy.

To not lose this game we need to absolutely cream it in the midfield.

This will not happen with English up against Nankervis in the ruck.

Tim English played really well and was very competitive against Gawn and Jackson round 1. You don't think he can battle against Nankervis?
