Look at his eyes. He's not even bothering to look down the line, hence is his confidence in his kicking ability. This shit wins games. I don't care if he doesn't rack up 20+ yet, one kick like that is worth 5 cheapies.

I think he has more talent than that implies. Great mover, left and right foot kicking. He’s just a bit off.I still like to think I was the first to notice how good Paton was in his first couple of games. I'm certainly not bagging him, he's one of my favourites. A real no frills super disciplined black boots type operator. He's my type of player, he wasn't born with piles of talent but his work rate and drive have him in the first picked list every week.
He played like a 200 gamer from day one, this is the first time I've ever seen anything like a form slump from him. I must admit my expectations of him are so high that I expected him to come back from a broken leg like he'd never left the side though. He's just so stable usually. He's like a robot most of the time, he's a guy you never worry about.
Ryder wins Ruck and kicks 2 goals in literally his last match 7 days ago, far out and I thought my memory was shit
I said something very similar to old man during the game.I'm finally watching the game, in the first quarter still but Hayes is just a great competitor. He's not a pretty footballer but he's a competitor and a natural reader of the play, he reminds me of one of those guys that plays in the bush where he's the best player in a league and everyone wonders if he could have made the big time. He's still got a bit of the agricultural about him but besides the lack of polish he's still a very good footballer. Does a lot of the team stuff as well.
Seb Ross is a much much better player all of a sudden when back on ball. Snags is very unusual player, he's kind of pudgy and a bit slow but can sneak a goal if there is even the slightest chance but also plays like Stevie J type of smaller lead up type. He's a match up nightmare, probably closest to a Papley.
McKenzie and Sinclair have both stepped up to be very confident and skilled players.
Watch Hayes and the very last play of the day. His reaction tells you everything you need to know about the competitor he is.I'm finally watching the game, in the first quarter still but Hayes is just a great competitor. Reminds me of watching a suburban football match and you can tell he is the best bloke on the ground. Does all the dirty shitty stuff that helps others excel and then takes the mark and kicks the goal when it’s his turn.
No glitz no glamour. Just pure love of the game.
Was looking at the games played for each club side this week and we've fielded the 4th or 5th least experienced side. Not sure if the Hawk will play a less experienced side as I can't be bothered working out the average. Promising signs with a relatively inexperienced side with a few key outs
The vision; the execution. So beautiful to watch.
As soon as Geary and Ryder finish that will drop a fair bit. This is ages but we've been the sixth oldest I think

Pretty sure that average is without Ryder and Geary in the side against the GC. Not as if it matters much anywayAs soon as Geary and Ryder finish that will drop a fair bit.
Average age doesn't really tell you much since everyone is usually within a year or so. But with average games played it usually paints a better picture of where a team is at.This is ages but we've been the sixth oldest I think

Paton looks fine to my eye… if we can forgive a few brain fades from Seb Ross after 10 years and 150+ games, I'll do the same for Paton who has not even played 50 yet.
Bloke is a gun.
We watched that seagull all game Saturday did not leave the centre square
Milera is a weapon because he try’s to hit targets. Lienart is just a bigger savage. We can do without that type of he is replaced by a play maker. And from what I’ve seen even though he is tall he doesn’t seem a great defender2020 we seemed to kick mark but most were shorter kicks. Having him and Lienert in gives us a couple of deep penetrating lasers. It's a weapon. Gresham is the opposite, you don't know what he'll do, he creates chaos and pressure through frenetic movement and unpredictable kicks. It's a nice balance. Precision and mayhem.
Thought he was playing very similar last year.Also. Corey Enright must be having some impact on Sinclair.
He looks like prime Enright on the ground this season.
