All very well reasoned and no doubt accurate. However let's not forget that clusterf%^ks have become something of a speciality of ours in recent years.Let's read the lay of the land:
Fact: Clarko has had numerous meetings with both us and GWS
Speculation: Clarko has been speaking to a number of assistant coaches to canvass opportunities at the club he coaches at
Conclusion: Clarko absolutely wants to coach next year and not wait for other opportunities that may or may no arise next year
Fact: There are only 2 vacant positions. There is speculation that both Rutten and Hinkley (and to a lesser extent Simmo) may be in trouble. However all are contracted for next season, so even if they were sacked, their salary will be included in the soft cap which makes it almost impossible for them to afford Clarko
Conclusion: He has two options: North or GWS
Fact: Bookies (who generate profits by having their finger on the pulse) have Clarko and Yze as hot favourites at North and GWS respectively. Clarko unbackable favourite at $1.20 no less.
Based on the above, it is an absolute formality that Clarko will be our senior coach next year.
It will take a clusterf%^K of epic proportions for it to play out any other way.
If he flew to Sydney to talk to assistant coaches it has to be one of this lot.

We could probably add Leon Cameron to the list as well.
That is all the Assistant coaches currently in work in Sydney.
Right I actually think you've near nailed it. Clarkson has pulled the ol carny folk pea under the cup trick.Let's read the lay of the land:

You still don’t get how he operates. Read my posts about it. It’s not rocket surgery
Mate, extrapolating anything of consequence out of the bookie odds is cray-cray.Fact: Bookies (who generate profits by having their finger on the pulse) have Clarko and Yze as hot favourites at North and GWS respectively. Clarko unbackable favourite at $1.20 no less.

I wouldn't put it passed us to have dotted every i and crossed every t, and yet still get tripped up in the end by a lower case J.So quick recap; KIA34 (aka Sonja Hood) is speaking with small ex player (Boomer … or Hrovat) in Adelaide this weekend to find out more info.
But in all seriousness, I’m taking KIA34 for their word. It all seems to be all aligning. It’s seems that the club and Clarkson are ensuring the i’s are crossed and the t’s are dotted. And after recent Oscar Piastri / Alpine news, they aren’t going to announce anything on verbal agreements until the finer details are sorted and agreed upon.
BTW, thanks KIA34. At worst, you’ve been giving everyone something to talk about and keeping dreams alive. That in itself is a main reason to support a club.
Contract with Alastajr Clackson?I wouldn't put it passed us to have dotted every i and crossed every t, and yet still get tripped up in the end by a lower case J.

probably a joke, you know, say the opposite for a laughI’s don’t get crossed
T’s don’t get dotted
Laughing at himprobably a joke, you know, say the opposite for a laugh
... i mean it's not that hard of a joke to get either, but okLaughing at him
Correct I think it’s obvious to most that we get clarko
My debate now is that announcing now vs later makes no difference so may as well announce now get things moving, assistants reaching out Etc
In theory yes but from what we've been told, from a few sources on this board, Clarko has specific support staff he wants and their current contracts may be impeding them from committing whilst the season is still going and in turn being announced.my point is you dont need assistants to commit now
once clarko announces himself as coach they will all come calling, then you pick the best after the season when they can commit but at least by announcing now you streamline the process get more assistants reaching out etc

Yeah but even if he doesn’t get those specific staff he’ll still coach as he’s decided not to take a year offIn theory yes but from what we've been told, from a few sources on this board, Clarko has specific support staff he wants and their current contracts may be impeding them from committing whilst the season is still going and in turn being announced.
It isn't brain science!probably a joke, you know, say the opposite for a laugh
Hearing the hold up is because we need Puma to design Clarko a special size polo that's extra tight across the chest.
