Horne-Francis just said that Clarko mentioned a change of positions, for next year. Are we thinking HBF??

I know people are not fond of the points comparison but always find it a reasonable way of working out where picks sit:

Pick one gives you the ability to get the BEST player in that draft so it’s value is more than just a combined points value.
Points are only good if you are matching a bid for a F/S or academy players if you have access to any.
Us trading our pick 1 for 6 and 8 would mean we miss a shot at the top 5 players and end up having to take slops from the remainder and the actual target of your pick is most likely gone.

That would be perfect. Either TT or the Horne playing the full year off HB would mean more possessions for them and more cashing in on their skills and smarts.

I can assume that Clarkson has developed his style since being at the Hawks, but he has history using his players and users by foot as offensive weapons across HB.

Future picks & priority picks will get us plenty of draft collateral.
Future picks? Fools gold. I thought we would have learnt that lesson by now.

PP's - well we'll see - pick 19, 37 and a couple of pre selected State league players - go ahead Clarko - work your magic there.

We have one piece of real collateral - pick 1 - I suggest we use it wisely - it needs to fill quite a few holes.

I get that, but I also get the idea of using it to pick 2 players who are a pretty good chance of being good out of that patch, particularly with such an even spread of talent

Correct, if you are going to split pick 1 it has include pick 3 at least, and then another top 10 pick. The points don't matter, not only does pick 1 gaurantee you get the best available player in the draft, but you also get more publicity, more money for your player with the NAB bonus and you take on a huge risk when you trade out of pick 1. So it needs to be a huge reward above and beyond the points total

Guess that puts the trade talk to bed
Doubt it. Facebook nufties will still be discussing trading him for a late pick.
