It really is, and it's not just Collingwood's pressure causing it. Their forward entries with zero pressure as bad as ours. They've also blown some really easy chances like we did.

In the unlikely event that he gets appointed, this will bring so much scrutiny on the club - dissecting every match - for at least 24 months. And the players get subjected to that, and some of them are 18, 19, 20 etc. It just seems like such a terrible environment to put everyone in. I mean we utterly ****ed up the development of any number of players, but this is next level.

Utter madness but not out of the question that they will do it.

Yeah that selection is out there BIG TIME. I think it is Essendon’s way of demonstrating that they can be independent maybe? If not then I have no idea what it is other than high comedy.

I think the independent panel is only there to select potential candidates and make recommendations, but the decision still comes down to the board, so this could go anywhere

All you can do is sit back and applaud Geelong's list management. Somehow they manage to continually entice talent to come play and live in that s**thole! Helps they are a massive area for junior football development and a lot want to go home, but giving up pretty much all their picks in 2020 for Jeremy Cameron

Been lucky with father sons as well but I still feel their recruitment, trading and drafting is first class. Have done pretty much what we need to do in the offseason. Seamlessly does a mini rebuild while in the premiership window. Looked like they were going to fall off a cliff yet in 2 offseasons have replenished a chunk of the list with very good youth and tweaked their gamestyle to remain a huge premiership threat. Hope Goody and the boys have been paying attention.

Its not dumb luck, people wanna play for Geelong because they make prelims almost every year. Meanwhile we've lost 2 top 5 draft picks to Freo in 5 years
