Did chuckle at their “Tommy is home” nonsense.

1877-1899 = 11 flags
1900-1996 = 15 flags
1997-Pres = 5 flags

What a PoWeRhOuSe.

Considering the trophy was donated in 1962 its barely been 'home':

Did we get retrospectively awarded South's last ever (1964) premiership? ;)

A festival of footy centred on Adelaide Oval would showcase all nine AFL matches in a single round next year, under South Australia’s bid for a proposed one-state carnival.
Revealing the state’s pitch for the April school holiday event, Premier Peter Malinauskas said it would incorporate grassroots footy at every level and, potentially, AFL games at suburban ovals.
Mr Malinauskas also revealed he had lobbied the AFL for a return of State of Origin football, declaring this would be “a huge success”, though it did not form part of SA’s single-state round bid.

I really think a lot of you are misreading this whole "magic round" situation. It won't be games in Victoria. It'll be games outside of Victoria, and the Victorian based AFL media will hype it up as balancing out the fact the Grand Final will be in Victoria forever. They'll probably do the same with a women's round and lock in the grand final of that one at Marvel.

The "big Vic clubs" will end up hosting the smaller national clubs at these venues so that they don't have to open up the MCG for smaller drawing games, so the likes of us will end up with less games at the MCG, and they can have more excuses for Victorian teams to play each other in Melbourne.

By the time the new rights deal rolls around, Port, Adelaide, Freo, West Coast, Brisbane, Gold Coast and GWS will all be playing double ups mostly against each other on Saturday arvos and Sunday Twilight, allowing the AFL the opportunity to fixture Vic clubs against each other in primetime spots as much as possible.
