I know rookie list players are on minimum wage, but does this mean N0rf will be getting a TPP supplement to cover the two extra list spots they've been gifted? Of course not - their payments will be outside the cap, you fool!
All Rookie base payments up to $80k per player were outside the cap in the 2017-22 CBA.

Thats partly why you had 28 year olds probably on $250k players taken via the rookie draft.

A few years ago we signed Houston to a 2 year deal, and the first year he was still a rookie so that we could get the $80k salary cap dodge.

Haven't the lions already agreed to a 4 year contract for ashcroft ?

I don't think North intentionally cut players to get worse. I think North had a guy in the middle of a mental health breakdown in a powerful position at the club making decisions of unsound mind.

What? The guy who got given a top job in the AFL and may now go in to coach a ‘Big 4’ team?

Did we really need more evidence the AFL makes it up as they go along?

If this meant we (and all non-Vic sides) played that round at the MCG against a Non-Vic side, I wouldn't be adverse to it. It'd be a way to get an extra game there, that non-Vic sides need (since the AFL gives the MCG more Grand Finals every time they get a chance).

We know it'd end up Port playing GWS at Marvel (if we aren't shunted to a suburban ground 40km from the centre of Melbourne) in the Sunday Twilight game though.

Just say Victoria - all games played in Victoria

And - why? What the *?

But geez can you imagine, all teams in one weekend in the HOME OF FOOTY/SPORTING CAPITAL/TRADITIONAL HEARTAND.

Wowee doesn't get any better!

Fans - Please fix the goal replay, make the fixture even, address Vic Bias, schedule more games at the MCG for non vic teams, give us commentators who don't suck, sack Hinkley

AFL CEO's - HOW ABOUT MULTIGAME WEEKEND THOUGH

Unless it’s Tasmania to celebrate the award of the new license they can get ****ed!

It wouldn't even be Marvel - they'd revive Princes Park, Arden Street, Moorabin, et al for the non Vic clubs to play each other at. Then they can have 5 all Vic 'neutral' blockbusters at the 'G for the greater glory of the game

The NRL's done Magic Round for a couple of seasons and seems happy with attendance. They have it in Brisbane, I think with investment from the Qld Govt.

If the AFL does something similar, it would have to be outside Victoria, surely. What about Tasmania??
