Firstly, the "No Kane Cornes" Rule is back

Word is Freo want a 2nd rounder for Meek.

An ITK stated that we pulled out of the Bruhn race because GWS would demand too much but Geelong were happy to oblige.

I'd be ropeable if we gave up pick 24 for a back up ruck who has played 16 games. Reckon there is a fair chance the trade doesn't happen.

Even with Brockman re-signing the lack of small/medium forwards is a concern. Not to mention how inexperienced the forward-line will be next year. On the flip side this opens the door for Serong and Butler to play more games.

I think a lot of these 'nomination' situations happen after the two teams have already worked out a deal. Otherwise it'd look bad for the Hawks not being able to get their trade targets over the line.

Having said that though Freo are one of the worst for that corporate boss hardline negotiation style with Peter Bell

This will be three years in a row of being under the salary cap. If Amon is the only signing, that would be a disappointing off-season.

OUT:
Mitchell 171
McEvoy 252
Howe 96
Gunston 225
Phillips 115
Shiels 255
Hartigan 135

IN:
Amon
Actually I’ve slept on it and if the club decides that Ferg can fill a role in the side, then sure I’m not opposed to it. He would most definitely bring more to the list than Jackson Callow did.

Must grab Bowes and pick 7 (8) now

May be this belongs in this "crazy suggestions " forum so may I ask?
Having seen the way he dashes out of HB like mad has anyone thought of Frost playing the centre? He is anyway now loosing his place in HB and has the dash and size like Nash. At least to try once.

Not convinced the Meek trade will happen considering the asking price.

What do we do about our ruck situation in that case? State league back up might be the answer and we back Reeves and Lynch to get it done.

We arent winning the flag next year. So we get him in 2023 instead. Unless another VIC club decides to use a 2nd round pick on him.

Sweet, we’ll that puts an end to all the trade drama, if he’s said he going as a free agent.

Good Luck Jack👍

Might be more to play out. Unless Brisbane just absolutely do not care about any compensation for McStay.

I mean, they've upgraded by getting Gunston for free, so I guess it's possible.
