Likely trade will be Tom, 24 and a later pick (maybe f3) for 16 and Poulter
I would like that, but I’m not sure on Poulter being part of it.

Think that at this stage we won’t attract much in trades and free agents. Hard sell when it looks a longer road than i hope it will be. Amon is a bonus.

Now jack is gone and prob mitchell, reckon we will have a good draft hand this year and next. Then 2024 and 2025 we should improve and show enough promise to attract a big fish or two at the same time CJ, Day, Lewis, DGB, Reeves, Ward, Macdonald etc hit their prime.

Postive post to much negativity on this.

Get around the young boys, I'm excited for the future, dont under estimate the work Mitchell is doing getting a young group of players together with a old list.

  • Finding two Key Def from the rough.
  • Creating New midfield dynamic mix.
  • Young Ruck holding down the #1 spot
  • Young Key Fwd, key focal point.

What Mitchell did inheriting that list and achieving 8 wins was a success. The time he has spent developing blokes in new roles and teaching them our way and playing together will put us in good stead for the future.

The old Boys will be a loss of experience but i think we have blokes ready to step up and lead now with there footy Nuke, Moore, Scirms, Day,Lewis.
They can go with the blokes who have played over 100 games Sic,Jom,Punky, Wingard,Dimma,Impey,Frost.

I like the new dynamic in the midfield Duke,Moore,Nash,Ward,Worpel,Finn.
C-Mac,Wingard. Wing - Day,*Amon

It's a huge season for Worpel and Finn if they can help cover some of Tom's inside role. We need to pick the best available in this draft and look to fill a fwd void after that! I am hoping Kosi can benefit in a Gunners type role.

Is Ward with them?

I saw Tank on the Gold Coast today.

GWS are going to have more picks than they need this year. Would we gamble on trading our 2023 future first for GWS pick 3 this year or is that too risky given next year's crop?
Wouldn’t touch that with a 10-foot pole!!! We should not trade next years 1st unless it’s something ridiculous.

Imagine if we missed out on a Harley Reid/the Wizard next year!?!

Pointed out tonight on social media that Lions have not made any announcement of Gunston joining them via FA, which suggests........ wait for it....... that they will trade for him.

If everything goes right, I can see a future where we walk into the draft with Picks 2, 16 and 26.

Wardlaw, George and Jones.
