GWS list manager on Trade Radio just then. Not getting traded today apparently. Didn’t say he was going to be signing a new deal though so could be a DFA?

3 mids ahead of him have all gone this trade period.

That being said, he would still be behind Cogs, Kelly, Green, Ward, Ash, Whitfield and fighting for the next spot with Callaghan and a few others...
Wouldn't surprise to see him delisted, but there would be a few clubs looking at him as DFA (Essendon, Hawks, North, Crows, Eagles)

He’s pretty much said that if JOM chooses GWS we will get a decent draft pick for him
Interestingly McCartney indicated that JOM wasn't necessarily coming in as a full time mid but rather to set standards in training and professionalism on and off the field. That's consistent with what the Poowong Warrior has said. Sounds like he might rotate between HF and middle at GWS. I would be interested in what sort of role Freo plans for him. I think that guys like Hodge and JOM are hard to find - they set the standards and culture. We are going to miss that when JOM leaves.

Would step into the Mundy role at Freo one would think. Probably steps straight into the leadership group as well (would do this at GWS also).

That’s what makes JOM so valuable for us - has to be a top 20 pick minimum to entertain a trade

I'm just hoping for a few good surprises this afternoon.

Like some good steak knives
Or Whitfield salary dump out of nowhere
Or Serong from Freo coming to the hawks

Also - hoping the media don't quote this post as verified rumours.

Damien Barrett on trade radio in 20 minutes time: "I have sources high up at the Hawks who say they are confident of landing Serong and Whitfiled in a 3 team trade with GWS and Freo that will definitely see the Hawks still losing trade week".

Maybe Sam believes Moore, Lewis and Morrison are ready to fill the gap.

Bit ridiculous comparing him to Hodge. Come off it. He wasn't even captain of poor sides, let alone premiership sides.
