I was just told that one player we might be interested in later is a guy by the name of Tom Mccallum, To be honest I'm not sure if we are interested in taking him but I know we have interviewed him

I posted a few days ago he reminds me of Taylor from GWS

So what is the likely scenario if we trade 16 to GWS? Get their 19 and future 3rd?
may have to sweeten the pot.
definately want to keep our picks in the 20’s , there is talent out there but maybe we think whoever we like at 16 will most likely be there at 19 ( if that’s part of the pick swap )
not sure what GWS has re picks in 2023

Today feels like Christmas. Lots of excitement, with the fear of massive disappointment. Not as attached to any of this year's crop as I have been in previous years, but am looking forward to complaining when we don't take the tallest mfer possible with our first pick :)
We may keep our first, however just so your ready, there's a chance we may trade out our first & not have a pick tonight.
Conversely there's a small chance we may trade up

Then you'll like Ryan. Attacking minded player that's always looking to link up and break the line, nothing like Mayne.
The 4 champs games on the AFL website, you'll have to point out when he was breaking lines, vast majority of his kicks were sideways to a safe option, that is very Chris Mayne.

I just want someone who doesn't replicate Mayne and kick the ball sideways, especially not with our first pick.
Mayne played the role asked of him and did it well. It was clearly coaching instructions based on a maintain possession gameplan. Fly mentioned it and JDG recently talked about how a big part of the team's resurgence was players executing their roles. I'm guessing that a large component of the recruiting and retention process is about players who can follow instructions in spite of their desire to break lines and take high risk options.

Can you explain my friend the advantages of trading up. Confused...
If we give 16 up for 19 for instance.

Not the point really - it’s about what a fit Grundy could have done. An unfit and injured Grundy of course has no impact on Hickey.
So yes, it’s that simple.
God, shut up about Grundy, this isn’t the thread for it.
