But you didn't come in peace, a long-fabled error.
Not true majority of my conflicts with posters the other poster has engaged me in a combative manner so I return serve. I'm not saying this is b always the case but I think most of the time I'm simply defending my position. I defend a lot more than I attack.

I've never been afraid to take on those in power. Always been a renegade a rebel. I speak truth to power what can I say.

Just yanking ya chain, old bean. :twohearts:

Westcoast88 what's the inside word, mate?

“My sources tell me we’ll play Fremantle twice, and have at least one game in South Australia”.

The day after the fixture comes out: “See I told you all, haters gonna hate, suck a lemon.”

That would be flicking the bean then wouldn't it mate?

Hey mate I don't actually do back-and-forth organic repartee, just bombshell drive-bys. Hope that clears things up. :peace:

Ok.

No one knew he worked for Carlton until after the draft.

Secondly, discussing such stuff after the draft means sfa.

I attended the Lions, Brisbane draft night function last year. We were asked not to post anything online during the draft, or that night, but were told it was ok to discuss it the day after.

There were at least half-a-dozen BigFooty members there, along with the local AFL reporter (who was busy texting Twomey all night), and quite a few sponsor connected people.

The recruiter running the night told us before the draft started who we were drafting in the first round.

He also told us who each team was going to select, when it was their turn, up until GWS’s pick 15, who he had no idea who they were selecting. The only team he had a question on, before GWS, was Richmond at 9, who said their last intel was that Richmond was choosing between Gibcus and Hobbs.

Most recruiting teams have a fair handle on what other teams are planning. Especially for the first half of the first round.

I know of scouts for two other clubs who post on BigFooty. Everyone on those club boards know who they are, because they’re public about their role, but they don’t post confidential stuff, just their opinion of kids, who they like, etc.

Which is nothing more than WCE_phil did all season here.

There are many people employed by AFL clubs who are on BigFooty, there are even more ex-employees, and members who have family employed ar clubs.

There are parents of players. WA’s Nick Robertson was drafted to the Lions in 2013. His dad was a regular poster on our board.

Jack Scrimshaw’s dad is a regular poster on Hawthorn’s board, and was a regular poster on Gold Coast’s board before that.

We have a Lions insider post on our board regularly. No one on our board questions his intel, or his legitimacy, because he’s given us the heads up about stuff to many times for him not to be legit.

We have an ex recruiter on our board, an ex club analytics guy, there is a current employee of another club on our board.

There are quite a few members who have connections to the club.

There are even more who are involved at QAFL clubs, who hear stuff through the footy grape vine.

Then there are nuffies like me, who go and watch training, give updates on what I see, and sometimes occasionally hear.

Sometimes fans can’t help but be fans, regardless of who employs them.
Its almost like these guys who have dedicated their lives to football like taking shit about football in their spare time
