Can't see WCE taking Reid at pick 1 if they get it with the go home factor.
To me pick 1 comes down to us & Norf.

I was able to get in and listen to Andy Gowers at halftime yesterday, a question from the audience was when are we starting legal proceeding against Barret for libel (tongue in check)

Andy responded that he met with Bellend last week to discuss his agenda, fair to say Andy won't be sending bellend a xmas card

Andy favourite player is Brockman

What do we reckon we could get for Worpel?

How is Adam Cerra worth pick 6 in trade, maybe hawks fan always undersell their players.

29yr old Lobb was worth a mid-20's pick.
Lobb is a tall KPF who can pinch hit in the ruck (and it doesn’t matter if he’s no better than servicable)

Worpel is a dime a dozen midfielder

David Hale should receive royalties for making this position so valuable nowadays

I can not see them passing up on generational talent for go home factor when they are not even a team that has a history of struggling with it.

You dont think any lower team would offer their 2nd for him ?

He has improved a lot this year.

Who would you rate as our 1st round value players ?
He has been better but a Worpel type isn't overly hard to find, the sort of player who is normally more valuable to the team he is at than any assets you would get in return.

Cats want him or have wanted him I have been reliably told.

What would they offer? A pick somewhere between 25-35 is realistic I think.
We don't need a 3rd round pick.
He's top 10 in the comp for clearances and contested ball. I'd be holding based on that form, unless it's a better offer.

He's top ten for clearances and contested possessions, not sure why people under sell our players.

Lobb has only once kick more than 30 goals in a season, his state are identical to Tyrone Vickery.

We paid much more to get him than he was getting at PA. Yes, it was less than $1m
Less than $1m is anything from a dollar to $999,999. It pays in this context to be specific, as you're trying to promote the fact that we need to massively overpay for free agents.

You've said we paid "much more" to get him across than he was getting at PA, but we also paid him much less than $1m - Port's compensation is proof of that.

Oh I agree, that’s why I said it doesn’t matter what output a forward/ruck produces, yet they will nearly always be seen as more valuable than a decent midfielder

In the top handful of players in the comp in contested possessions and clearances. Every other player on this list is worth a top 10 pick or multiple firsts but we’re gonna trade him for pick 40 lol. A lot of these players have similar disposal to worps. If he leaves it will be for something very decent not a pick 30+
He’s would also be getting less midfield time than all those other guys as well. Can’t fault his effort this year cracking into the contest and winning the hard ball.

Don't mind parish, smooth mover, terrific outside mid only 25 worth 900k at a minimum.

He’s like Macrae from the bulldogs where his stats oversell how good he has been.

Very good player. Not worth huge $$$ in my opinion.

With respect, in a public forum I am not going to be specific. The money that Parish is supposedly asking for is pure speculation but I have no reason to believe it is not somewhere near accurate.

If a team is chasing a player, you play handball (gc with omaera as an example)

If you're trying to offload a player, you play nice

If anyone comes after a player, play hard. He might be worth a 2nd rounder, but someone like Geelong, you tell them pick 15 at a minimum

Would the eagles trade it to us?
Doubt it - say we finished third or fourth last - they trade pick 1 to us but then have to hope that their man lasts to that pick - we take Harley pick one but but then surely Norf and or GC even with their bad trading record - take the player that WCE wants. Nope if they have a top 3 rated WA KPF kid in the draft they will either take him pick one or trade to get pick 2 or 3 so they get him and Reid.
