If we can convince Himmelberg and Doedee to join as well as another top 3 pick in the draft (as well as a fit and firing Mitch Lewis) we would turn these close losses into easy wins next year.

Not convinced we need Parish, key position players would turn this team around immediately with the amount of clearances we are producing

We should try hard to get another 1st round for this draft. I think our list is coming long very well and 2 first rounders will really move this along quicker.
Are you thinking a salary dump situation to snag some teams 1st rounder ala Bowes / Geelong trade?

Legit question, have you ever seen him play?

100%, he does not solve any problems our list might have, other than maybe helping us pay the League minimum.

He’s a big body that can play on the power forwards and, most importantly, free up Sicily to play his true position as the 3rd tall.

We need another big bodied defender to play alongside Blanck. I was hoping Jeka would be that player, but I’m not sure if that will eventuate.

An average defender from the worst and most heavily scored against club in the league for half a decade.

Have you seen what tall forwards have done to North in the 2 games he's played? Daniher kicked 5.3 and King just kicked 5. Blanck, Frost, Sicily and a developing DGB is plenty without needing to throw McKay 500k a year more than he deserves.

Doedee is a hawks fan too

Who gets us a 1st in trade? Or an early 2nd and we can swap 2 x 2nds for a 1st ?
I love CJ but I feel he’d be a player that would attract a first rounder that we could also potentially manage without. Would happily keep him ofcourse but you do have to give to get, could be an option if we do really want a second first rounder.

Trading CJ would have a bigger fall-out than when we traded croad.

Trading out a young player with 4 years of development for a 10-18 pick is fraught, we might end up with a Lovell or Burton and lose a player who is just about to shine. As I have said before if you trade him then you will watch him become a star at Sydney or Melbourne.

I don't understand this comment. Can you explain to me why he's Bambi? Is this like when Luke Darcy continues to mention how athletic he is???

The younger Hawks supporters absolutely love him.

You only need to turn up to a training session/ family day to see how they flock to him.

When I was in Hawks nest recently they were telling me the CJ badges and other stuff his face was on was the most popular.

Totally. I love CJ and it would definitely be a risk. Not gonna get a first rounder for a player we want to delist though. Only other way is to try a salary dump deal or package other picks (and likely pay a premium). Just as we could get a Lovell, we could also get a star. That’s the gamble.

Let's remember, with Tassie coming in, they will be able to throw ridiculous big money to FA's , so, we can't wait too long for the perfect opportunity, our list management will be extremely cautious of that fact, so anyone who can play ' Tall' will definitely be in our target list.
Another player who plays tall in either frwd or back will straighten us right up and give flexibility to use guys like Sicily in other positions. The flow on effect is really important.

Getting another 1st rounder won't be easy but you by no means sell the farm trying to get one. The only way we should be entertaining anything of the kind is in a salary dump.
