Mind boggling that we can’t score this year outside the eagles game yet Charlie still on top of the Coleman.

Cameron also played against eagles perhaps when lions play Eagles late in the year might sort out if Cameron and Daniher are a chance.

Hugely optimistic headline of the week:

Dow stocks up - what took so long?
Perennially overlooked first round pick, Paddy Dow was finally recalled to the Blues senior side this week and helped the Blues to a drought-breaking boilover win against the Oliver-less Demons. Tallying 32 touches and icing the game with a fourth-quarter goal, Dow was sublime - silencing critics both inside and outside the club and raising a few eyebrows among more than a few AFL club recruiters.
Time will tell how long his stay will be at the top level, but for now - the Paddy Dow train is back on track.

Haha love it.

and still got dropped the following week....

Has been said on record that Dow is not getting a game because he is behind the others. No excuses now. If he doesn’t get a run this week then he never will.

I think that's the problem - they say that but they don't mean it.

He's consistently the best player in the VFL (competition wide) yet can't even get a game at AFL level even when we do have injuries.

My prediction: Cerra, Hewett out this week and he still doesn't play. Doc and Ed will play mid instead.

I hope Dow plays on Friday night, but I’m not getting too excited because:
  • Even if he comes in and dominates for the rest of the year, he would be insane to stay at Carlton next year
  • If he plays well enough, his trade value may increase from a fourth-rounder to a third
Hope he goes well, if selected, but the situation is too far gone to salvage anything from.

We need a smart, creative, coach whom will mentor , inspire, bringing with him a sound , positive game plan.
Sounds like Nicks or Longmuir. Which is different to fly who is just brilliant on an EQ and life level, Ted Lassoesque! And very different to Voss…. Though hopefully with the right support around him he and we will be fine, but these are the most critical football decisions we will be making over the next 24 months. Yze would be nice in a strategy type role likewise old mate Leppa.

Voss has definately missed a trick not selecting dow even if he doesnt have an impact on the game at AFL level his entire midfield has been out of sorts and thier punishment has been to be shifted to the hbf or made the sub and then back into the starting line up without showing the form to warrant it a week later while a guy who is racking up 30 and a goal week in week out cant get a look in.

It sends the message i dont care whos in form ill pick the guys who i think are better on the off chance they rediscover thier better form which makes them relax in the comfort and the guys below give up and stop pushing to get in.
