Those in here saying Young has shown he has what it takes to make it must be watching a different player than the Young I’m watching.

He looks lost, panics when he gets the ball and positions himself poorly in contests regularly. He needs a lot more development at the lower level.

The sooner we can get Gibcus back in the better.
Reminds me of Luke McGuane. We got better as a club when we stopped drafting / playing battlers.

Only saving grace for Young is that he picked up AFL late, and to be fair has done pretty well to play so many games in his debut year. He’ll have improvement but just doesn’t seem a natural footballer and seems to lack a hard edge

Forget Petracca and Oliver. Forget Rozee and Butters. I’m taking Taranto and Bolton as the best midfield duo in the comp.
😂😂😂😂…when tarranto can use the ball half as well as Petracca it might be worthy of consideration.

This is awesome, go on and hit him back tropicaltiger

Love it when your footy team wins and then you get to see two guys punch on, on the way home

One of us is interested in discussing footy, the machinations of our club, what's working and what's obviously not and how we got to this point of the year.
The other just pumps the tyres like a service station attendant.

I think many on here are judging Young harshly for so early in his career, if anything I think the coaching staff appear to be fast tracking his development by playing him on some better performed forwards, It remains to be seen if this is the right course as it continues to cost goals but may benefit us in the longer term
He's holding space until Gibcus is fit.

i see his faults etc im just not as dramatic about it

ofc he will be in and out of the side while he develops

it doesn't mean he has to play every game in the ones to see his upside ffs

the toxic shit ppl dump on young players on the biggest stage...

you would think campaigners are fugn jealous
