Of our 71 tackles, we got one free for holding the ball/incorrect disposal.

There were at least 10 tackles in which freo players just threw it out, no fist on ball, and called play on.

How about all the times the Freeo players took on the tackler, got wrapped up, and it was “my ball”

He looks lost, panics when he gets the ball and positions himself poorly in contests regularly. He needs a lot more development at the lower level.

Why I rarely watch AFL and certainly don't pay to go watch it .. the bump/collision rules are a sham.
He'll get weeks or a fine for that, when it was an absolute contest and couldn't be avoided.
rapt we won, but AFL is softer than basketball these days.
I won't say netball:
1. That would be derogatory and I love netball.
2. Netball is much tougher.

I almost gave Mansell a vote for being an annoying little sh!t - which is exactly what you want your HFF to be. Imagine if he had Clarke's kicking skills, or Clarke could find the ball as often as Mansell.

Broad was excellent, and has been all year (except for those 4 quiet games he had in the middle of the season). He, Vlas, Grimes and Balta make a pretty good defence. Still looking for the Astbury replacement (probably not Young).

I worry that we've killed Pickett. He was always a very good winger - he and K-Mac were keys playing out wide for a few years, I get that we have to throw someone up in the forward line to prevent the opposition just swamping Jack while Lynch is out, but Pickett looks lost out there. At least Ross has improved from getting regular football.

Jackson had more kicks, more marks, more disposals than Nank - but I know who got my vote. And it wasn't because Nank technically got more hitouts.

Pickett was good tonight. One of the reasons we won given his output in a difficult position and causes their defence problems.

Structurally we played a lot better

Given the free kick count we did well to get a great win

go have a nap mate, dimma always said he was going to call it quits when he could not give 100% anymore, his passion tapered off. so he pulled the pin, he didn't lose the players, they still would crawl over cut glass for him, nothing lasts forever we are playing with a bit more spark and the monkey is off everyones back. so it is what it is.
shambles and shambolic are such stupid words to use. IF bolton, taranto and dusty are 3 of the best players on the ground you win 90% of games anyways, even if kylie minogue is coaching.

Is Picket having a real rough patch or am I missing something? Fumbly, not holding marks, making bad decisions, generally pretty bad disposal. He's providing a contest and getting the ball to ground, maybe that's his role? Purely there as an anti-intercept forward?
