Watching his Gettable show on the AFL website I've noticed Twomey never mentions Essendon players as being "gettable". If ever his sidekick throws up an Essendon name it's always quickly dismissed as no chance. He's more than happy to throw players under the bus at other clubs, even those who are contracted. But never Essendon players.Death taxes and twomey mentioning bombers

I would agree with you but no point both of us being wrong
He’s had 10 years. Why can’t people just accept that he’s no good.Pretty sure I said he’s been injured the last 3 years.. If you don’t think teams wouldn’t have handed over 2 first if he was on the table after 17, I don’t know what to tell you. 2020 he was great early that season.
Billings: One day he kicked 5 and had 30 possessions against the Blues. This was in 2017. That is seriously elite and not many players have done that. Someone mentioned previously on here that was his best season, so right up until 2017, his progress and development was slow, but it was still perfectly acceptable. There was still optimism he would take on the next step.
What happened? It can’t all be Richo and development, since he played three years under Ratten and continued the regression. It’s at a point now rival clubs are barely showing any interest. Injuries weren’t a big issue until this year. Hasn’t replicated that big day out against the Blues or the big comeback against the dogs in recent years.

Never!2017 was six years ago, time to let it go.
I understand though, I’m still hoping Freeman and Weller come good.Never!
But it’s not 2017 or 2020. We’re heading into season 2024 and we know exactly what Billings is in today’s game
I’m stating it hasn’t worked out for Billing’s at the Saints, but I’m not going accept that he hasn’t had a some good seasons. 17 he was A grade all year 60 shots at goal at 23 disposals a game as HF is top shelf, and showed his true potential..2017 was six years ago, time to let it go.
That's where he and Coffield vwere recruited to be, and to hopefully turn into midfielders. Looks like not
Callaghan is never going to come to us, we’re going to have to draft guys like him.
Jordon is just another B grader. Everything we don’t need.
First I’ve heard of Jelly being a pipe dream
I've always liked him and wanted him to stay but this year I just wonder what tricks or elite weapons he has compared to some exciting kids we have now. He's such a beautiful kick but isn't quick, doesn't win many contests and misses goals he should kick.If you're a bloke like Billings, staring down at your footy mortality, wouldn't you just throw it to the wind, put in a massive preseason - go for broke in one last chance?
Got little to lose at this point.
Question is does he have it in him or does he fade into obscurity without so much as a whimper?
At some point pride has to kick in you'd reckon.
I dare say that’s what he will do.If you're a bloke like Billings, staring down at your footy mortality, wouldn't you just throw it to the wind, put in a massive preseason - go for broke in one last chance?

Body definitely let him down but also needs to have a red hot crack. Better than what he's shown which probably means the real problem is between the ears.I've always liked him and wanted him to stay but this year I just wonder what tricks or elite weapons he has compared to some exciting kids we have now. He's probably replacing Clark or Phillipou if we made changes to the last game against GWS.
He can still be that. He's nearly like a new recruit for us next year. Really looking forward to seeing Coff back.Clark was recruited to be a mid & Coff to be our half back general ala Grant Birchall

Ratings are nice and all but Sam Walsh was the best player on the ground by a long way.Idk what it would’ve cost, but shame we didn’t snag TDK. He was the highest rated player tonight.
