And wasn't TT regarded in the same light at the end of the season? Get TT, LDU, Wardlaw on the park at the same time. Throw in Jy, Phillips, Powell, and Sheezel in midfield rotations. Take best available at 2 and 3 in the draft. Stay the course, I really don't want Oliver unless its a BBB type deal. Melbourne also paid fk all for Grundy, and obviously why they're indifferent about moving him on. No way should we be giving up a top 5 draft pick for him. Just look at last years draft we had an 18yo Syd Barker Medallist and paid way less (for now) than what Oliver would want.
Oliver feeding TT and LDU would be ****en insane.

So long as he's feeding them hard contested footy and not lines or pipes.

I’m more than ok with Darling.

Actually like it .

And exactly my point.
Oliver is very ****en good tho.

Its high risk, high reward and really only worth it if the opportunity presents itself without messing up our current long term plans and we sus it out properly. But we're in a better position than most to actually do that.

I like the Darling acquisition but only because I'm chasing the dragon of Jarrad Waite playing for North again.

We need to start winning games of footy.
It all goes to shit next year unless we see some improvement.

If by some omen of the footy gods, we get a chance to line up Oliver LDU and TT in the centre square round 1 next year, you have to explore that.
If they stay fit and firing, we’re going to be competitive in more games then not.
I’d put money on us being top 8 and would scare a hell of a lot of teams come finals with that midfield.

No-one disputes Oliver's football ability, but teams don't move away from an elite player unless there is a downside that it very serious.

The Pies didn't with DeGoey, the Tigers didn't with Martin, and even we didn't with TT. So why do the Dees want to? They are in the premiership window, it makes no sense on footballing skill alone.
