Langford and Reid coming hard for the top 3.Harvey Langford with 32 disposals, kicked 2.1, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 3 i50s, 5 r50s.
Bice would have to be on a few clubs list. He may may not make it to the RD, every chance he will go in the ND.We are crying out for a HBFlanker of that size.
Nice left foot!!!!! I’m sold
Goater has the ? Mark after the Achilles injury.
Archer is a lock-down.
Fisher and Sonic are a bit small to offer much intercepting/defensive help.
Lock Bice in.
30 years ago we picked up another mature aged HBF from the VFL, and that turned out well… David King
Hey Jesslc, there is no doubt that Murphy is a very good player, can play in the middle or playing that high half-forward role or even that small forward role, he has the nous to do that, very good finisher in front of goal + is a team player, quite classy and will be interesting where he goes in the draft.
Yep, I reckon he ends up the best mid in the draft. Has the ball on a string like Harry and hardly ever misses a target. Not a penetrating kick by any means but well weighted with great hands and body control. What's his yoyo?

The season ended on a bit of a down note for Josh and his Eastern team as they fell away dramatically in the final quarter to lose in the Wild Card round to the Knights. It was a wild and windy day in Ballarat, and the intensity of the game was high, those two things combining to turn the game into a scrap with effective disposal at a premium. Smillie's natural instinct to take the game on with attack minded decisions caused him to turn the ball over on a number of occasions by hand and foot. He was still an influence at stoppage however, and had some highlight worthy moments including an unbelievable goal from an impossible angle.
Gerryn was impressive in a losing final this morning.doing his draft stocks no harm....23 disposals...12 kicks 11 handballs. 7 marks 5 tackles 28 hitouts and 2 goals..being west Perth's best player by a country mile.single handed effort..impressive player moves like the duck at times..
Yes, you can. Going to have to wait a while though.Hi Noober, can we get a look at Gerreyn's game on the weekend please?
Pretty much the only reason id be willing to split pick 2. But then even a draft order on the forum i saw which combined a bunch of the higher rating draft experts had him around pick 37. Really hard to know whats going to happen, opinions seems so wide in this draft. But if push comes to shove to make sure we get him, id split pick 2.As silly as it sounds, I think I'll be shattered if we miss out on him. Exactly the type of forward we need for the future.
Delist!Yes, you can. Going to have to wait a while though.
This game from Murphy Reid was even better than the already impressive stats suggest. He proved his elite kicking skills by consistently hitting targets on a day that the wind was wreaking havoc with disposal. He managed to find space at times in a finals game where the pressure was ratcheted up several notches. He was swung forward in the final quarter and seemed to be involved in every score as the Dragons put the Jets to the sword.
Yeah I've mentioned that myself before... although I don't think its due to not wanting contact, I think he's just a little too impressed with the circus stuff at the moment. Some of the tricks are fine, like when he set up Levi for a goal in the Metro v Country game, but he goes overboard with it.Is it just me or a a lot of those flick over the shoulder handballs really ineffective?
He has good vision, but sometimes they are totally unnecessary and it's as if he is doing it to get the ball away as quickly as possible because he doesn't want any contact.
I can't see him being a genuine midfielder at AFL level. Will end up being a more outside wing/receiver type.
FOS doesn't mind grubbing them in his 2023 highlights.
roos_fanatic08 Sphynx Souup - If we are to keep pick 2, is there consensus among our boards draft experts as to who we should be taking? Or at the very least, if there a group of 2 or 3 players we should be focussing on?

You don't think Armstrong is a chance at 2?Don't mean to speak on behalf of the other lads, but I think they are both pretty set on FOS.
Personally I'm leaning a bit more towards Draper.
All things considered it'd be a safe bet that pick 2 would be out of: Jagga Smith, Finn O'Sullivan, Sid Draper, Josh Smillie or Harvey Langford.
Trainor & Lalor would probably be in consideration too.

Not sure it's logical of Spock to draft Lindsay coming off a PCL but I guess he can recover well!A most logical assumption Better Loosen Up! I think plenty of teams need a key forward BUT their first priority must be very good midfielders, the big question they must ask themselves is unless the midfielder the team is going to get is going to be a very good player. Are they going to risk not picking Kayle and letting him fall to another club? Its all about where the 18 recruiters from the other clubs have Kayle marked on their list, for all that we know some recruiters could have Kayle as the best 1st/2nd/3rd key forward in the draft, some might think potentially, he's the next Paddy Ryder the 2nd.
All recruiters will see things differently, even the top ten players, who are mostly midfielders, players will be ranked anywhere from 1 to 10 in different order, that's what makes this draft so frustrating and so tantalising, so much talent, if you know where to look and back yourself in, no matter where certain players are rated, as they say at the show, there's prizes for everyone! If the famed SPOCK were indeed alive and asked his opinion on the talent in this draft using only his logic, it would go something like this!
SPOCK'S 2024 NATIONAL AFL DRAFT {first round only}

The strong wind made clean passages of play nearly impossible and turned most of this game into a scrap, but Langford thrives in that kind environment. He used his strength and physicality at the contest attacking the ball and the man in equal measure, at times he and James Barrett threatened to turn it into a boxing match. He found a stack of footy as he always does, and hit the scoreboard at crucial times to help his Stingrays to build a lead and take the victory.
