From that article

Alex Davies

“Collingwood and Geelong have lodged an interest, but nothing more than that. The Suns have offered a two-year deal, but Davies wants to play senior footy.”

Turns out Alex, that I know a place where you’d definitely get to play senior footy on a weekly basis

And it’s in a city with a climate much more like the Gold Coast than Melbourne or Geelong
Geelong would seem an odd choice they have so many inside mids . Maybe Geelong just like bending over GC .

Probably think they will get a pick out of it

I have a feeling we have something big cooking up.

Phil has mentioned at least once that we may not have pick 3 come draft day. He has also alluded to the fact that he’s going to look like a fool if his “plan” doesn’t work out.

We know he’s working in the trade area & is rattling trees. He’s been down to Geelong & is planning on visiting Sydney soon. He did also say he’s gonna be throwing out some red herrings at times.

I think when you put it all together we can except a surprise.

Thought I'd have a crack at top 40 draftees for this year, definitely hardiest year so far to split them.

Someone like Tauru at 26 could end up being a star.

Guys that were unlucky to miss out on top 40, but still really like. In no particular order, just couldn't find a spot for them.

Hugh Boxshall
Xavier Ivisic
Malakai Champion
Cody Angove
Ned Bowman
James Barrat
Jack Ough
Lucas Camporeale
Phoenix Hargrave
Tyler Welsh
Rhys Unwin
Will Hayes
Zac Johnson

Can you plz fix FOS he’s Country. I mean cmon 🤣.

Very good rankings mate.

Unfortunately looking at those we miss Trav. Probably take one of Draper, FOS or Lalor.

Davis could even be around our TB compensation if he continues to rise but possibly gone by our pick 23 which will slide a bit.

Mind you who knows what our actual draft hand will look like.

This article seems to suggest Dev and Carroll may look to return home, that makes it 4 players that we will potentially be interested in including Baker and Graham. It will be very interesting to see how many we actually delist/trade and how many picks we take to the draft.

My tip is we really want Travagalia.

3 is too earlyso we split.

If someone else jumps on TT before our split pick then .....

Whoops yep, knew I'd miss one or two with the drag and drop.

Let's face it though, I reckon if you asked 100 draft watchers/recruiters everyone's top 40 would be pretty different such is the evenness of this draft.

Every club will have different needs, so Trav could be there at Hawks first but only if the dogs win and even then still a could.

Davis very unlikely to make our 2nd. I'd probably like Moraes, Gross or Hynes around there.

Stubborn or loyal looking to pinch a flag as the 26th rated player?

If all he wanted was money and security then he'd be at the Eagles already.

With the father son & academy players Brisbane are due to pick up over the next 2-3 drafts, Dev is quickly going to slip down to 36th rated player.

Feels like if he wants to salvage his career he needs to move this off-season. Even if he plays in this years Grand Final as the 26th rated player, 2025 will be harder for him to get a game.

Before the draft i was told it was highly likely he'd stay wherever he was drafted. Very loyal guy and obviously loving it over there.
The same guy told me he thought dev might struggle to have the same impact that he had in the juniors as he was the kind of player that took contact and then decided what to do with it.

I thought we were supposed to be getting rid of the crabs.

Would love Travagalia all class imo. Or West coast package 3 + Hawk's first (Barrass ) slide down a spot or two on 3 slide up a spot or two on Hawks 1st.

Is there anyway that might happen?

What's the chances Bo Allen becomes a full time mid? He's definitely not first choice for the barrass pick ,especially if he's projecting as a hbf

I think he definitely can be, I just don't think he'll necessarily start there. He might start as a winger or mid sized defender, then as he continues to build his tank and size go into the middle, like Yeo or Duggan have done.
