Hypothetical again..

In the near to impossible chance Houston does land.

Is it grim days for the likes of

Goater (obvs with injury anyway), Bergman (hasn’t don’t too much), Fisher (does he go forward) leaving maybe Hardeman as the developing HB type?

We’ve drafted so many HBF’s and seem to develop 0 well unless they are Sheezel and McKercher who you can’t even consider Half backs

Off topic but who tf is watching a coaches presser post GF loss!? Why are they even expected to do that? Crazy, go grab a beer with the boys and commiserate.

The point is the stupidity of the location

Houston, Goater, Hardeman and Archer are the 4 mid sized for me. Depending how he returns, Goater may be a third tall option.

Not grim for Goater. Assuming he can come get back to close to 100% over the next couple of years he will be a mainstay in the team. Can play just about anywhere and we were kind of forcing him into the backline.

His endurance is an issue. I’d be looking at making him a specialist sub.

But it certainly would limit fisher down back. And harder man to an extent. I don’t rate Hardeanm personally. Bergman would be odds on to be delisted come the end of the year.

What would people rather future first for Houston and future second

Or Caleb Daniel for a future third

Its almost better for them.
No pressure to perform immediately after coming off injury.
Build their skills and endurance and earn a spot in the senior side.
One of our issues has been playing the kids too early, now we're creating depth.
