Please pass on to Plow....against WCE in Perth a few years ago I sat next to a couple of young Carlton supporters and asked them who their favourite player was...Plowman! came the response with a significant amount of googly, lovey dovey eyes and embarrassing giggling....
I'm no expert but put trust in the MC...they got us this far ..............may view our half back line with Cincotta is a bit slow for the Brisbane forward line ........Boyd quickens it up a bit but is he ready after a long lay off......
Just about to head home......watching it from the lounge in Perth...will have a couple of quiet ones and put all my trust in the boys to get the job done...Go Blues
Maybe too simplistic but if a side is 40 or 50 points behind at half time chances are they haven't worked very hard at it in the first half...so they come out after half time and have a crack and the side who has done all the work can't keep up....what I've seen this year which wasn't evident...
Off to see this one on Saturday....nervous and excited, haven't been able to get to a Carlton game for a while so looking forward to it.....in with a chance...go blues
Not impressed with Andy McKay,s current attitude either....exactly where do we belong Andy, you were a great player don't get me wrong, but you have that ridiculous we are Carlton $%^& the rest attitude which is so 70's 80's..we have not won a premiership since 1995...19 years ago....clubs don't...
Carrazo was always my first choice but it is what it is......there is only one thing Murph needs to do week in week out and that is beat his opponent...our woes are not due to Murphs inexperience as captain..there are 22 players out there..these days all 22 have to play their part just watch...
two years ago I was at a 21st the night we went down to West Coast by 4pts at Subi in an elimination final...we were one kick away from a prelim against Geelong which wouldn't have been beyond the realms of possibility to win..you could argue our list has improved since...
with the greatest respect to our great man SOS list management at GWS with the best talent in the country given to you over a two or three year period would have been a walk in the park.....not sure what SOS would bring quite frankly
Well....not the ideal start to the season.. great first quarter and should have been further in front..then some big lapses...Westhoff is good but shouldn't have been allowed that much room...some good recovery but ran out of puff, sting, intensity whatever you want to call it...I don't think...
Pity all the speculation...our depth is Boots biggest problem...I see him as a defender with his spoiling ability, pace and kick...he's a third tall type defender who can run off his opponent and punish sides with his long kicking...problem is we've got a few of those types...so not sure where...
"I remember one was a quick kick out of stoppage and it landed in Waite's lap and it's just one of those ones where I was trying to communicate with everyone else to get a spare and things like that.
"Instead of worrying about doing my job I was trying to do too many other jobs."
Maybe it was...
No where near topic...but myself (54) and my Stones mad son (19) are travelling to AO from Perth in March to see them...really looking forward to seeing the new AO (and the stones of course)...back where footy should be in SA...
Now back on topic...membership done so hope I'm in that to date total
Had to laugh at the article on the AFL website about Dangerfield being some super human athlete given Army easily chased him down twice in one game.....
