Yeah I'll search back through Motlops trade thread when/if I get a chance but I recall that Geelong may have paid some of his contract (somehow) to ensure they got a better compensation pick. I could be wrong - my memories not what it used to be.
I could be wrong but it was suggested we helped Geelong do this with the Motlop RFA. I can't recall the details but the gist was that somehow we helped Geelong (ie front-loading Motlops contract) to ensure they got and end of first round pick to get G Ablett back.
I have 4 x Platinum in the Western Stand. Have always got tickets there so far this year but for this weeks game i got Section 137 on the Eastern side. Not complaining, just curious!

He also did the great finish to the 2005 prelim when the Nick Davis (and the Swans) stole it from Geelong. His heart must have been bleeding but he called it like a pro. Kudos!
I also noticed that Freo had used a heap more interchanges than us by half time. I've yet to watch the replay but i'd bet that when Freo were 6 goals down they upped their rotations to try and get back into the game. Or maybe we slowed our rotations to save them for the 2nd half. Or maybe it was...
