Yeh I`m surprised his name hasn`t been in the mix, publicly atleast. I believe his departure from Freo was a big part of our decline. He`s got development, assistant coaching and now director of coaching experience - He`d be a perfect fit I reckon.

Yeah it would be a strange move to appoint a failed coach in a new senior role straight away. Senior Assistant or head of development seems more appropriate.

Simon Lloyd would be e great get except I`m not sure if he has coached his own team prior to coming to Freo.

I think he`s a lock for the Saints job. There`s nothing wrong with getting a top assistant (ie. JLo) and let him develop on the job just as Simpson and Beveridge have done.

The club isn`t short on money. If we have to pay for exceeding the soft cap it won`t be a major issue. Also, with all the talk of reduced membership revenue we`ve only gone back to the levels we had at Subi in 2017, so it`s not a major deal. Of course I expect there will also be renewed...

I prefer we take a more cautious approach with him and let him build form and fitness in the 2`s while the incumbents get another crack, that`s all. He`s not Gablett jnr FFS

I don`t see any reason to drop a member of the winning team from last week. Let Blakely build form and fitness with Peel for another week. Injuries and form slumps will inevitably open a spot for him soon enough.
