Wondering what's happened to Banyule. have they lost some players from last year. I have seen the top four ( Marcellin, Old Camberwell, Fitzroy and Parkdale Vultures) play this year. And the team that Banyule had on the paddock last year could easily match it with these clubs.
The rumour i have heard down at Parkdale is that they want to stay in the amateurs and beat the St Bedes Record ...i.e ( C grade to B grade to A Grade in 3 years).
they want to go From D Grade to C Grade to B grade to A grade in 4 years !
they have a couple of u/19 premier - premiership...
Lets get back to the footy .
Went to the banyule vs parkdale game last weekend. have been watching A grade games over the past 3 years. And this contest was of a very high standard. Suggest that 8 players of each team would get a game in A grade easy. The pressure was full on for 4 quarters...
I was at the Peninsula vs Parkdale game on Saturday. Very impressive setup there. Great facilities, plenty of room to watch the game on the Hill or from the grandstand. This ground is A Grade standard.
Too bad Peninsula were outclassed by the Parkdale Vultures, who seemed to be a lot TALLER...
Re: 37. Matthew Warnock
I am surprised that Warnock is still getting paid . He should have been delisted with Miller last year. When he gets his hands on the ball, he has no idea what to do with it, apart from handballing to any demon jumper close by. If he cannot handball, he kicks it straight...
Yes , I also found my way down to Green Reserve on Saturday Afternoon, to find young Jesse Tobin and chad Ryan dominating in the D1 reserves. I was told they were available to play the week before, but the club elected not to play them. Obviously due to lack of fitness. Perhaps Parkdale are...
Tips for this week

Uni Blues vs Beaumauris
Beaumaris by 11 Points
Trinity vs Scotch
Trinity by 20 Points

Apparently Beaumaris crushed St Bedes u/19 premiers last Sunday in a practice match at Beaumaris. And St Bedes have lost a few of their best players to injury for some weeks.
Not a great start to the season ?
I would suggest if there is a gun 17 year old, the coach of the u/19's will give him the option whether he wants to play u/19. If he does want to play, he will play u/19. U Can't hold back talent !
So who's going to Win the Preliminary Final This Sunday. Scotch or De La Salle.
I reckon Scotch....5 goals. At least they looked like they could play last Sunday.
Well I must agree with Good Idea for the 1st time this year. De La Salle and St Bedes will be a very close game. De La Salle by 7 points.
And yes Marcellin on a large ground. Scotch won't last the 4 quarters.
Was as the old Scotch vs St Bedes game yesterday. Not a bad game. Old scotch played alright. St Bedes much fitter in the end, and ran over them. I would suggest that they will beat Old Xavs next week, as they have more to play for.
The Big Game next saturday will be Marcellin vs University...
Tips for this week
Old Scotch vs St Bedes ..St Bedes in fine form of late. Will knock off Old Scotch by 4 goals.

St Kevins vs Marcellin..Marcellin by 4 goals. Have something to play for

Well there's around 8 playing this year - under 19 premier, that played last year - under 19 division 2. And there are around 4 or 5 from last year's under 19's playing in the St Bedes A Section senior side this year. None on the VFL lists.
Well here we are in round 14 or 15 in Premier Division 2008.
You will note that St Bedes are on top of the ladder with De La Salle.
And if i remember this time last year, someone suggested that St Bedes would go alright in Premier division in 2007. And all the cocky Premier side teams thought...
I reckon Uni blacks will win this week. a better side than Old Scotch. Old Scotch play Uni Blacks, then De La Salle, St Bernards, St Bedes and then Old Xavs at Old Xavs. I reckon they will be lucky to win 1 out of the last 5 games. They are Gone ! Uni Blacks will finish in the top 4 !
This...
yes if an u/19 player has played 6 or more senior games. then to play u/19's finals he has to have played at least 6 games in the u/19's during the season.
And what about St Bedes this week. Their Premier Side have a week off. Perhaps a few of these players need a run in the South 2 St Bedes Side ??? Look out Melbourne High !!
I would suggest that De La Salle and St Bedes are the 2 best sides in the Premier division, and are looking forward to playing each other again. Also in finals time, from my experience, the end result depends on whether either side has any eligible players available from the seniors.
I noticed...
