Grow up.. Nowhere near it and as for there being not many better in and under players...
Judd, Hayes, Watson, Selwood, Swallow, Boyd, Cross, James McDonald, Priddis, Ball, Black all ahead of him this year just to name a few.
Grow up mate, if anything the other teams in the AFL have lost all respect they ever had for that sniper lloyd.. and your coach for the knife to the throat gesture
Well to answer your question I believe only 4 players have lived up to being the best player in their respective draft, up to now anyway.
2000 - Riewoldt easily
2002 - Goddard - marginally ahead of Wells, J.Mcveigh, Mackie, K.Simpson, A.Selwood but only off the back of his great 2009...
This list is spot on
West coast should easily be infront of Essendon
Neagle is a shocker, Hurley is a backman, Hille is a ruckman, Riemers couldnt even make your best 22 come finals time, Gumbleton cant get on the field.
This just leaves with you with Williams, Monfries, Davey who are...
I agree fev is an A+ forward.. but surely bradshaw is atleast a B, and Rischitelli a C+
However I still agree with you, Bris would be getting an A+ forward with atleast 4 years in him.. whilst Carl are gaining a B class forward who is 2 years older and most likely only has 2 years left...
I need some advice:
I'm choosing 4 out of these 6 players for my midfield, they are
Bartel, Ablett, Corey, Swan, Judd, Kerr
There is only one more catch-
I can only pick Bartel if i Pick Kerr aswell
Who would you pick??
1. G. Ablett
2. L. Franklin
3. C. Judd
4. L. Hodge
5. D. Cox
6. N. Riewoldt
7. M. Pavlich
8. J. Bartel
9. M. Richardson
10. J. Brown
11. B. Fevola
12. B. Deledio
13. B. Harvey
14. B. Cousins
15. D. Kerr
16. M. Scarlett
17. A. Cooney
18. J. Selwood
19. J. Corey
20. C. Cornes...
To answer your question, yes he will get a gig in the midfield before Johnson, Tambling, Newman, Polo, Thompson, most likely Coughlan unless he can get fully fit again and perhaps even Cotchin only in his second season.
Which leaves a Cousins, Foley, Tuck, Deledio, Hislop midfield.
And...
C: Deledio, Cousins, Cotchin
R: Simmonds, Tuck, Foley
Rotations:
Hislop - playing predominately as a small defender rotating through the midfield when needed.
Coughlan - coming off the bench after a few years out of the game.
Tambling
Richo playing as a HFF still capable of...
Ok i'll have a crack, these are all players who have already made their debuts.
My list is purely going on who I believe is the best player on the list to the worst:
1. B.Harvey
2. D.Wells
3. Jesse Smith
4. D.Petrie
5. L.Hansen
6. D.Hale
7. M.Firrito
8. H.McIntosh
9. A.Simpson
10...
First of all this part makes me laugh.. I'd love to see your interpretation of a second rate player then.
Secondly I wasn't having a go at you for picking up Cousins I think that would be one of the good decisions the club will ever make.
And thirdly, going from the players mentioned in my...
Ha ha.. This makes me laugh..
But then again the saints have been a laughing stock over the last few years with their terrible trading and drafting of recycled players.
Players of the calibre of Stephen Powell, Cain Ackland, Jayden Attard, Aaron Fiora, Shane Birss, Michael Gardiner, Charlie...
Fair enough so its Pike with 4 premierships and one B&F..
and Bell with 2 premierships, 4 B&F's, 2 AA's and club captain for 5 years.
I would still take Bell by a Mile. He was a far better player and backs it up with multiple accolades.
It's like saying Brereton was a better CHF...
No, Bell was delisted by Fremantle at the end of the 1995 season after playing 2 games and kicking 2 goals.
North picked him up in the 1996 Pre-Season draft with pick #15
:thumbsu: Yes i agree
Pike won 3 premierships after being delisted..
But as far as who was the best player after they were delisted goes it has to be Bell.
Bell won 2 Premierships
2 AA's
4 B and F's
And captained Freo from 2002-2006
