Re: Gippsland League
Or Wonthaggi they are the team to beat they have up to 10 new players who will be all guns and may have as many as 6-7 interleague players this year.
IMO whoever beats Wonthaggi wins the premiership!
Re: Gippsland League
I heard on the weekend that Wonthaggi will probably be the side to beat. They have recruited very well and have blokes jobs at the Desal. The only thing with this though apparently Leigh McDonald has promised them work but when the work runs which might happen mid year...
He is playing for Narre Warren. He gave Drouin great service and decided to go and play where his brother in law plays apparently. He nearly played there last year but decided 1 more year with drouin
Seems to fairly quiet around the clubs in terms of recruiting players this year. Has anyone heard of any big name signings around clubs?
I think both Wonthaggi and Leongatha have probably been the most active club from what I have heard.
Ladder Prediction 2012
Sale
Traralgon
Maffra...
Josh has just had enough of coaching and his happy to play under Potter who is his good mate. Potter will do a great job. He won Glengarry's B&F and from all reports impressed everyone out there with his leadership. Glen will no doubt be very strong in 2012
Sounds like that post really hit a nerve Mayhem20202? Its ok mate not everything goes to plan every year keep your chin up! If a player comes to a club not havnt played there the year before most people would consider that a recruit whether they had already played there or not. So the fact Sale...
Great effort by Traralgon to win the flag on the weekend after the losing alot of players from there list at the start of the year! With the rumours of maybe Andrew McQualter, Jay Neagle and Micheal Stockdale to return to the club next year Traralgon could possibly heading back to there success...
Any thoughts on how the season will unfold???
Premiers?
League B & F?
League Goalkicker?
Final five?
For mine it's:
Sale
Andy Soumalis
Matt Ferguson
Traralgon, Sale, Wonthaggi, Drouin, Leongatha
TTU Players picked up.
T.Aikten - Should be 60+ full forward in NGFL
D.Hawking - Handy forward who is a bit inconsistent
Chris Graham - Midfielder who can play but is a bit of a headcase.
Brian Graham - Midfielder/Fwd - Is a gun and will be a great NGFL player
Guy Sinclair - CHB/Ruck - Played...
Good story but and every club that recruits those sort of players are always spending decent money. Having known Dylan for a long time and what he has been getting paid he wouldn't be travelling back to Sale for anything less than $800 per game. If this is the case I think that is quite cheap...
There is now way Dylan McLaren would be playing for anything less than $800 per game. The way he can jump and mark it might be the best money Sale have spent in the last 2 years. He will be hard to stop and match up on for anyone around this league.
You have to fell a bit sorry for Moe they had to do there ground as it will set there club up for years to come but inflict some short term pain.
I imagine they are very pissed off with Leigh Mcdonald who had committed to coach them for the 2011 season only to pull out after everything was...
Morwell are now without a coach apparently - Adrian Cox has switched to heyfield in the NGFL. Can anyone else confirm this???
Have Moe got a coach?? If not it's starting to get a bit late.
Do all clubs have a coach for next year?
Maffra - ????
Drouin - Ben Soumalis
Traralgon - Josh Jennings
Morwell - Adrian Cox
Leongatha - ??
Moe - (Whisper is Leigh McDonald)
Sale - Nick Anderson
Wonthaggi - ??
Warragul -??
Can anyone fill in the question marks??
C'mon Jaworskyj 1971 make your mind up. Early in the year you said Traralgon were no hope and now your saying they are could win the flag(And in 4 grades). Surely the 7 players Maffra had out means that the margin on the weekend was just a one off and in the finals Maffra will be able to beat...
Maffra had 7 players out???? No wonder they won by so much.
Who were they?
Killoran
A.Burgiel
H.Burgiel
Horsford
??
??
??
You would think with those players back they would more than make up the 45 points from the weekend
I went and watched Sale yesterday to see how they are travelling and while there reserves played some really good football there senior side was to busy trying knock all the Traralgon players heads off. After alot of talk about Sale being the real improvers this year it seems they have gone...
Can anyone confirm Maffra's recruits? I have heard they have added more than half a dozen quality players to a list that was already the best in the league!
Ben Coleman (return from inj)
Kelvin Porter (return from inj)
Gary Jones (return from inj)
Brent Connolly - fremantle rookie list - had...
