looks like my Dad got a job promotion to Melb, i will always cheer the swans as i think they are pretty cool, despite people thinking im too negative. but i like to follow the team where i live, so i was thinking about the doggies. i like them anyway. i knew people would crap on me for that, i...
look, i wont be returning to this forum after tonite anyhow. apologies to all if i have created a negative vibe. swans rock, i just hate losing like that. enjoy yourselves. au revoir.
its pompous comments like that, which cause other people to not bother returning.
i thought this was a forum where you could have an opinion, and not be crapped on because of it. obviously not.
Vez is still a kid, he'll be a great asset in the next few years.
it was our leadership group who failed to lead big time.
Bevan was hammered.
Moore tried hard.
Hall played half a game.
Missed Micky O.
Kirky is awesome, but it was his worst game all year tonite. I guess he's not super human. and agreed, we did as best we could, still had a presence in the finals. 3rd quarter was just so disappointing.
absolutely no leadership what so ever, i seriously thought we were 'on' up till half time, and then it was the worst of the swans for the second half. mind you the doggies were good.
I referred to McV as McCape last year, as in Swans superhero, though many disagreed at the time, i notice you jumping on board now.
Im just glad he's playing like a demon, because all you McVeigh haters can now go eat your shorts.
ok, concede on Malceski, i just think he's a shadow of his former self, and has been shown up against the better teams, of which I dont count the kanga's as one. Bird was only out due to injury not form, if he is fit again, why wouldnt they bring him in. I think its ashame Henry probably wont...
assuming we win this weekend, will they play again in 08, should they play again, and how would their inclusion affect the team, which has played so well together at least for the last 2 games. Bird will obviously come in if he's fit, Vez will liely go out, but I cant see big Henry getting a run...
lets face it, yes we're in the finals, but we've been pretty shit mostly, even at home. swans are their own worst enemies in some ways. sydney is a fickle crowd, and if they dont get an entertaining game against decent opposition, they simply would prefer to stay home with the 30'' plasma. its a...
this is good news. as long as he kicks another 4, i dont care if he gets dropped again next week, the footy gods seem to keep finding a way to get him in. All the best for Jesse White also. Ive a good feeling about tonite. btw, i reckon Ves was always going to play. Roos is the ducks and drakes...
Vez has earned his place, tho Roos did say some players in form will be going out to make way for Goodes and RoK. Maybe he was referring to suspensions, otherwise, outside of injuries, it has to be between Ablett, Bird and Vezpremi (tho I dont really know why, perhaps Roos may think finals...
There seems to be a feeling that Vezpremi will get dropped despite a brilliant game, and I would say Ablett, assuming that Hall and or Bolton and or Buchannan dont go that is.
Jude: looked worse than it was, nothing serious in it.
Amon: tyrpical stupid careless Amon jump with no eyes for the ball, could go 1 week. I dont think he means any harm, he's just go this bad habit of jumping into players. Look at the replay of the 05 grandfinal, when leo took that last grab...
stage2 complete. I think doggies will win, and maybe Ess over Saints, but our biggest obstacle is ourselves tonite. Time will tell.
wouldnt it be ironic to finish 4th after all the crap thats been hung on us the past few weeks. But once again, it would only be by default, not through worthy...
apologies with the half empty comment, no offense intended carsoutback. its true we did get a great draw first half of season, which should have allowed us to rocket home with the wind in our sails, having warmed up and gained some momentum. it wasnt to be, and theres always next year as you say.
we will still need to develop the likes of Jack, Bird, Moore, Barlow, Thornton etc. Together with Kirk, Bolton, McVeigh, Buchannan, Bevan, Cousins, Kerr, we'd have a thumping midfield, which has been our greatest weakness this year
we are far from a retirement home. i think you may have cow fever. The likes of cousin and Kerr are in a league of their own when comparing to Matthews, Crouch etc. I am not suggesting to replace older players with the same calibre, I am talking about keeping or replacing a few older players...
so are you actually saying we are worse than freo, richmond, carlton Essendon etc, and just happened to meet them when they were down, coz if you are, you really are a half glass empty person big time. And by your logic, you are saying that we dont deserve to be in the 8 and that we are more...
Cousins too old, jeez. Ok, so we dont want to keep stacking the group with 30+, but with Matthews, Crouch, Spida, Leo and co all unlikely to take part or much part next year, I dont see a problem.
i think they would be ideal.
we will still blood our younger kids coming thru, but we still need some quality experience out there, despite the talk of an aging group. And we are screaming out fro some speed in the midfield. I say yes, this could be a good move. We are not talking spida here...
