Pretty stiff to suggest Donahue be delisted. Has only been on our list for 2 years? Give him a chance. The others however I tend to agree. If we could get anything for Lonergan I'd be happy.
Not a lot in it, but pretty stupid thing to do! Can expect the AFL to make an example out of him for sure. You cannot make contact with an umpire.
2-4weeks
What are peoples thoughts on Abletts appearance on the footy show last night? For someone quite nervous and shy, I thought he came across very well, and had some inteligent things to say. Really interesting to get an insight into such an amazing player, yet someone so media shy!! Teriffic, More...
Definatley Selwood in the coming years, no question, but I would hate for Gazza to go through his career and not captain his side. Shows possibly the most leadership out on the ground already. Chapman and Ling also
Now that is stiff!!!! I have often thought about your exact situation! I cant for the life of me understand why an emergency can replace a player who played and had a shocker! It must be a glitch in the system and it see's a player scoring zero as not having played??? Really unlucky mate!!!
While Freo's trading history isnt the best (Tarrant, Bradley, Johnson etc) their are some positives. You guys have one of the best players in the league in Pavlich, the best tap ruckmen (aside form Cox) in Sandilands, and what looks to be a future leader in the midfield in Palmer! The important...
Yeserdays game against the bombers should have answered all your questions! Bartel is simply amazing! Always runs to the right positions, Has more courage than sense at times, is always geting hard fought contested possesions, and is one of the most humble, team orientated players on and off the...
Have you not watched any Geelong games?? Jimmy Bartel is one of the hardets footballers running around! Is always taking strong marks running back witht he fllight of the ball, and standing up in big tackles! Chapman is as tough a nut as you will find, Ablett is the strongest player below the...
Re: So, what do we take away from last night?
One of the biggest positives was Joel Selwoods game!
Everytime he had to commit he did, he stood up in a number of heavy tackles and was always at the bottom of the pack! Could he be one to dispell the "2nd year blues" tag so many promising...
Whilst you cant take too much out of a NAB cup game, it doesnt hide the fact that you cringe as Oakley Nicholls goes near the ball! He stands out like a sore thumb, and is just making up the numbers for the VFL side IMO
Dont be to worried about Ritchies progress. He has silky skills, an amazing work ethic and with confidence will come more possesions. Whilst his size seems to be a talking point, it doesnt effect his attack on the ball, or his ability to hold an opponent in a tackle. As to why he is being...
Rhett Biglands (Crows) Mark Coughlan (Tigers) Leroy Jetta (Bombers) Daniel Bradshaw (Lions) Nick Stevens (Blues) Nathan Thompson (Roos) Michael Gardiner (Saints) Brendan Goddard (Saints) Mark Williams (Hawks)
Surely Richmond has other young players that are more likely to step up into a leadership role that Jackson who would struggle to be in your best 18. Why not make N. Brown captain now.. Then Deledio or Foley to follow:confused:
More unsubstantiated drug rumours!!!! Teriffic. How many of these do we have to rabbit on about beofre people realise how foolish they look when posting such tripe?
Re: Victory Pack DVD boxset - out today!
Cheers mate! Sounds good! I assume it will be available in a week or so from the major DVD stores.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
Summed it up in a nutshell.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
There is no way Carl would trade Gibbs for Selwood and vice versa! Both to be stars of the competition in 5 years!!
Hogg for sure. He is in teriffic form at the moment. He fields and bats much better than macgill, and would be a much more stablizing influence on the side as oppossed to Macgill. Whilst Macgill is a good spinner, he is to self obsessed and never thinks about his team mates.
As an outsider looking in, Nathan Brown seems a wise choice for captain. Has a good profile for the club, speaks well, takes responsibility on the field and is a quality footballer.:thumbsu::thumbsu:
Bring in a 17th team I say. Considering the Kangaroos are so against relocating to Queensland, forcing them up there wont help. Bringing another club not only provides interest for spectators, but it further enchances the games reputation as our 'national' sport and would allow for clubs to have...
Definatley expect Douglas to step up. He is a class act with a fantastic work ethic and great endurance. Given more of an opportunity in '08' he will take the next step!!:thumbsu: Moran will also play an important role too!
Surely Tigers fans would rather see the club invest in someone like Collard in the PSD rather than waste a pick on Guy Richards who has shown very little at Collingwood after numerous chances? Does anyone remember his last game against Ottens?:thumbsd:
$450,000......Way to much!! Whilst he has potential, no doubt, he hasnt shown any type of consistency required to succeed, or justify a large salary.:thumbsd:
Now that Richmond has signed Mitch Morton from West Coast, are they likely to chase his younger highly rated brother Cale in the National Draft?
What pick is he likely to go at?
Re: King and Gardiner gone
Yeah that had slipped my mind thanks mate!
when did King last renew his contract with the cats? Because for 3-4 years now he has been underperforming, and would have had a pay cut if his contract had been renewed?
Re: King and Gardiner gone
Whilst I agree with your thoughts 'Budda' I question just how much space it did actually free up? King certainly wouldnt have been on a substantial amount of coin IMO, and as for Playfair, Callan and Gardiner, all 3 were VFL players that rarely played senior...
