Wow, after all those encouraging words and stats I'm now a believer too. When I started reading this thread I had the same opinion as Event Horizon, a few posts back.
Just listening to Luke Hodge on SEN - he's very pro-Clarko and footy smart. He'd make a pretty good defence coach I reckon.
Apologies if it's already been done to death, but would Hodge be a worthy candidate for Clarko's support team?
Sadly, 6 goals to this week's nominee.
3 votes in the Sunday Herald Sun were awarded to "Alan" Sexton. The hallmark of a worthy winner of the Kerridge is being unknown in the media and by your opponents. Tick, tick.
A = Arthur, Angus, Anton, Andrew, Aristotle, Aaron, Alex - take your pick.
Didn't nominate him before the game but I'd like to nominate .... Sexton as a worthy winner of the highly prized Kerridge Award - named as I recall after a bloke who kicked 5 or 6 for Adelaide against us one night at Etihad or whatever it was called back then and was dropped two weeks later...
Are Charlie Comben and Miller Bergman on your list? I've lost track of the nicknames. If they're not listed, Comben in particular could be anything - if he can just string 3 games together without getting injured. I still have faith in Will Philips - glandular fever can really take a toll...
GR, it's been a great day for the Roos (and the members and supporters) and for all the people who helped keep the Roos at Arden Street and out of the clutches of the AFL. Regardless of what happens from here, there will always be Clarko (not some newbie, or some recycled Ross Lyon-type)...
Horace I want to contribute to your excellent thread comparing Clarko's appointment with the Barassi appointment (but I can't remember how to navigate around the Board). When I find it I will add my recollections. All I can say that's relevant to this thread is that I expect Clarko to dial up...
Wow, what a great day! Even brought me out of 'retirement' and back onto the North Board (the only Board, pretty much). Fantastic letter to members from Sonja too.
All I can say to our Pres is "thank you, thank you thank you!"
Was listening to SEN this morning when a fantastic story came on about how a North fan had helped Jy get off that trumped up charge and "show of strength" by the MRO. Then the interview where the fan described how he was on the steps at Dallas Brooks Hall all those years ago to Keep North...
I was at the Corner last night to see Ana Popovic and there it was on the wall outside when I was taking in some "fresh air". Black Mountain playing at the Corner in early October. Doing a few gigs down the east coast and then onto Perth. RobZombie, this heads up is meant for you too. :)
I'm glad Rupert Holmes has been delisted - I'd never heard of him.
Did you consider Phil Collins, the solo artist? You could replace Steely Dan with Phil - they were never a "pop" group. But hey, it's your list and a bloody good one too.
see see hit the nail on the head earlier when he used...
Iirc, I did my first "ignore" ever, just this week. A campaigner in the JonBenet Ramsay crimes thread. Got under my skin with some incredibly inane posts (and didn't barrack for North). So, goodbye!
Didn't Brad say on Talking Footy that he expected Wellsy to let him know his decision once trade week opened? He said trade week opened after the grand final.
Have a look at post #38 (Majak Daw) by Tas on this thread. Better support staff and resources maybe, but not more.

"Tsunami of shit" - :D reminds me of The Office when manager David Brent appoints Gareth as his assistant. Brent calls him "an assistant to the manager" and Gareth describes himself as "assistant manager".
I've checked with the judges. They said they didn't wish to create the impression that the award was based solely on the number of words used. They said the order in which the words were used was almost as important*.
* Thanks to Monty Python.
Thanks for all of the above.
I remember the giant inflatos. As posted, our's was doubled over. Their's was "fully erect" and proud. People were saying "it's a bad omen."
The flying start they got with a lot of help from the umpires. It was as if the Swans were on speed.;) Fortunately...
Any chance you might quit your current "role" and take up a position as an assistant coach at North? I'm serious!
I learnt more reading your post in 3 minutes than I did watching our meat grinder midfield extract the ball and hack it forward for the whole bloody season.
I'm normally a glass half empty person. However.....
for next year I'm hopeful there'll be a BIG reaction to the disappointment that was 2016. Even if we don't make the 8 I think we'll be encouraged by what we see. Sort of like the year St Kilda had.
I'm particularly hopeful that the "new"...
A couple of decades earlier we recruited Scott Wynd's much younger brother, Paul. He played some OK footy for the ressies over two or three seasons. However, he never grew beyond about 190cms. I'm sure we were hoping for a key position player or even better a ruckman. All we got was a tallish...
I guess describing it as "rubbish" is about as big a compliment as you could muster. And it's "pigeon" not "pidgeon".
This is what you said in post #60: "If your are interested in this case then ignore this rubbish."
You're on "ignore" from now on.
Have you ever sat through a criminal investigation? It wouldn't make good tv. It takes hundred or thousands of hours. We know it's a TV show. We know you don't think it's any good. Thanks for your views. I'll be watching tonight, despite your views.
