We need to stop making excusses for losing that game we had our chances.
Basically good teams win the games they suppose to win! Pears, Melksham and Colyer turned the ball over time and time again by foot and by hand, not up to it yet for mine.
I heard that Carlton and Essendon were told he would not join them in '08 and that Melbourne and Collingwood were his choice, now that Melbourne have been told they're out of the running that just leaves the old enemy and I hope it cost them plenty.
Totally agree with about Jobe he's all class, but on Sunday his disposal was awful. Still give him a spell in the 2's for a week and lets see how Dyson goes.
I think everyone a bit tough on Tangles Bradley, he actually played OK on Sunday.
Watson and NLM should be a bit worried about there spot in the team, Sheed's didn't give them much game time and in the past that is a sign that they could get dropped the following week.
IMO Watson out - Dyson in
There is no doubt that our recruiting has been very poor since we let Judkins go to Collingwood. Dodoro is not up to it he lost me when he said the Paddy Ryder was concidered number 1 pick and he was rapt that we got him at number 6, maybe in the future he will be a great player for our club but...
Can't speak for other Essendon posters, but you must admit some the post on here are just not worth responing to.
I read all the posts regarding the Bombers but wouldn't waste any effort responsing to Trolls.
His endeavour and his courage can not be questioned, but his disposal has always been questionable.
Had one shocking game this year but he is not alone, unfair to single him out.
The grab I heard was "he will not play again and he will be helping the coaching team"
It's a pity because we didn't see the very best of what he could do on the footy field.
Lets hope he can beat this latest setback.
Just heard on SEN that Rama has retired as stated by Sheeds on Adelaide radio interview. Press conference at Windy Hill later today.
Sad day for all bomber fans and football fans.
Good Luck Rama.
Firstly can I say that I would hate to see the club get rid of Sheeds before he serves the rest of his contract. He has been great for our club, he took us from a struggling club in the 70's and early 80's to be one of the powerhouse clubs of the AFL.
But I do wonder what is going through his...
I don't doubt that Sheeds take all games seriously, but we do need the field the the best team (except for injured players) so we can get off to a good start this season.
Lets not play young players if we have fit senior players available.
In the past when Sheeds took the pre season cup serious we generally had a good season.
I think he he will go with the best team he can field, as he will want to send a message the the football public we are back!
I hope he does, we need to go into the season full of confidence. It's good...
Another Hawthorn supporter worrying about where Essendon will finish without a ball being bounced.
You should worry about where Hawthorn will finish and we will let Sheeds worry where we will finish.
Lets hope this is the last thread on this subject, but I don't think it will be the last...
Nothing that Essendon supporters did not know already, we have added a good mix of youth and experience to our list.
I wouldn't worry about the idiots on the main board that criticize our list, I'm sure we will get our back next year when we pump them.
Good research.:thumbsu:
