I just thought I should say I’ve retired from the SC, not about me, just to say thanks to the contestants and hosts past and present for an environment to share some music and have a routine without stress involved. There has been some very enjoyable listening and reading experiences on the...
Interesting. Those numbers would be attractive surely, and go against the midweek crowd theory. Although, do you see a better day and time slot that the league can implement?
Understandably Franklin had a lap of honour in Sydney yesterday to celebrate the end of his career, but it came across as a finale. Is he planning to attend a Grand Final event, or is that not on the cards?
Oh dear. I was not expecting that, but happy the nomination got some love.
I'd loathe to host anyway, but this round especially would be impossible, therefore if the runner up wants to take charge they can go for it.
Cheers.
In all seriousness, there were clearly signs that others witnessed last year that Adelaide were going to significantly improve this year, but I never predicted it and it looks like it's going to be positive long term as well.
I had Hawthorn above the other two pre-season, and my stubborn...
I don't know the statistics but was reading that West Coast have a decent reputation for retaining non Western Australian players, but is that mostly due to the club being - up until recently - mostly successful for their entire existence?
This could very well be the case. And Mitchell has experienced first-hand as a player the success that can come not only with a high-end draft haul, but also how to succeed during the introduction of new clubs.
Without promotion/relegation it also makes sense to of course prioritise getting the win, but also thinking long-term by experimenting and trialling different methods and positioning whilst you are in the rebuilding period. No matter the structured planning, there's always going to be criticism...
We all know that the first player picked in any draft ending up the most successful and valuable is not a certainty. But does there happen to be a player ranked above all others at this stage expecting to go pick one this year?
I'm probably being bias due to their past successes and having high expectations for premierships on a consistent basis. But I think Hawthorn overall are going to have the most promising development from their young players.
Nah, it's not.
I don't think he enters anymore, in fact there's a few in that song style range that don't enter anymore that I was familiar with actually. Oh well, we evolve.

I agree that the recruitment method is vital, and I don't want to come across as argumentative.
Although personally I'd like to see no incentives for finishing in last place. It should be the opposite; rewarded highly for wins only. The current draft system is workable, but priority picks and...
Well, in many leagues and sports a punishment consists of being relegated to a different division, and also prize money differences as it goes in order for how succesful your season has been.
I don't necessarily think the club that finishes on top of the ladder at the end of the year should...
They already get rewarded with the first pick in the draft for being the worst performing club of the year. Ideally last place should be punished, not rewarded.
Very good question. I keep coming back to coach or recruiter. Would the high quality players the recruiter gets stay around without a great coach?
I'll still say recruiter.
Every post I've seen from you has a strong victim mentality and unsavoury agressive approach. If you enjoy it, go for it. But for for those of us who are reading your content, it is very jarring and seldom focuses on your point.

I very much believe in learning from errors, no matter how seriously they are punished, and even more do I believe in redemption. We should be much more about education and reforming as opposed to guilty for life as all it would do is not give hope and drive those people further away in a...
