I just thought I should say I’ve retired from the SC, not about me, just to say thanks to the contestants and hosts past and present for an environment to share some music and have a routine without stress involved. There has been some very enjoyable listening and reading experiences on the...

Interesting. Those numbers would be attractive surely, and go against the midweek crowd theory. Although, do you see a better day and time slot that the league can implement?

Autopsy AFL 2023 Round 24 - Swans v Demons Sun Aug 26th 3:20pm EST (SCG)

Understandably Franklin had a lap of honour in Sydney yesterday to celebrate the end of his career, but it came across as a finale. Is he planning to attend a Grand Final event, or is that not on the cards?

Oh dear. I was not expecting that, but happy the nomination got some love. I'd loathe to host anyway, but this round especially would be impossible, therefore if the runner up wants to take charge they can go for it. Cheers.

Which team out of Adelaide, North and Hawthorn has the better youth?

In all seriousness, there were clearly signs that others witnessed last year that Adelaide were going to significantly improve this year, but I never predicted it and it looks like it's going to be positive long term as well. I had Hawthorn above the other two pre-season, and my stubborn...

Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

I don't know the statistics but was reading that West Coast have a decent reputation for retaining non Western Australian players, but is that mostly due to the club being - up until recently - mostly successful for their entire existence?

Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

This could very well be the case. And Mitchell has experienced first-hand as a player the success that can come not only with a high-end draft haul, but also how to succeed during the introduction of new clubs.

Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

If the league took away the current draft system of rewarding failure with the most wanted draft pick, then these discussions would finally end.

Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

Without promotion/relegation it also makes sense to of course prioritise getting the win, but also thinking long-term by experimenting and trialling different methods and positioning whilst you are in the rebuilding period. No matter the structured planning, there's always going to be criticism...

Analysis Hawthorn rebuild: are they tanking?

We all know that the first player picked in any draft ending up the most successful and valuable is not a certainty. But does there happen to be a player ranked above all others at this stage expecting to go pick one this year?

Which team out of Adelaide, North and Hawthorn has the better youth?

I'm probably being bias due to their past successes and having high expectations for premierships on a consistent basis. But I think Hawthorn overall are going to have the most promising development from their young players.

    New system for AFL fixtures?

There's a bye for each club so technically every team plays 22 games before finals. You wouldn't need that added game in the fixture.

    North Melbourne Priority Pick 2021

I agree that the recruitment method is vital, and I don't want to come across as argumentative. Although personally I'd like to see no incentives for finishing in last place. It should be the opposite; rewarded highly for wins only. The current draft system is workable, but priority picks and...

    North Melbourne Priority Pick 2021

Well, in many leagues and sports a punishment consists of being relegated to a different division, and also prize money differences as it goes in order for how succesful your season has been. I don't necessarily think the club that finishes on top of the ladder at the end of the year should...
