I really like the backline. Great potential.
The only thing that would give me nightmares is having Balta on the field.
I'm not sure I have any advice on how to fix that tho. There is a lot of reason to select just about everyone else on your field.
Its a good side. If you are happy with you should back your judgement.
BTW - If you think you are going midprice mayhem in defense, you should see my back 6.
The only thing I don't understand is, why you have Setterfield in your mids if you don't rate the forward rookies?
And then you have Drew as a mid?
Actually there are 3 things I don't understand. If you are going to spend the money, why do you then think that McCarthy is going to outscore say...
The problem is the forward line.
I don't want any of those rookies on my field. you will need 2 of them for your bench, just not on field.
Edited to add: Of course you choose Setterfield, my brain forgot he is rookie priced.
I like your mids. I've made slightly different choices but the same basic structure. I reckon if YOU like it, you should run with it!
The issue is where you look for value to fund it. I've gone value in defense (only 1 premo) and with the rucks (no Grundy or Gawn)
This allows me a stronger...
You are right. That is an interesting conundrum....
i have all 3 players. But on what you present, I think I would go option 2.
Archie is going to get games, and for the games he plays could conceivably go 70+. What other ruck rookie offers that?
If a mid rookie offered that you'd take it, in...
I completely agree with you. I can see him with a 110 average for the year. I am thinking there are one or two others at his price range that offer marginally better value, but thats just me. I don't think you can go wrong selecting Beams, but i'm happy to wait and see.
Beams is obviously a very good player. He's priced at 105. How much better do you see him going at Collingwood, which has arguably the best midfield in the competition, compared to Brisbane?
Did a little bit of investigating today and found the following ownership %'s which surprised me a little...
J.Selwood 1.44
S.Ross 1.27
J.Steele 1.26
L.Hunter 0.64
I promise I'm not trying to be difficult, and I appreciate the work you put into your opinions.
Why do you not consider Rocky (to be clear, i'm not convinced either and don't have him in my side)?
He did have a 60 from 60% game time and a Darts score in his last effort. It is a little hard to...
No. I have not made up my mind, hence my initial question. Call me crazy but I tend to only ask questions when I'm interested in other opinions.
I have played Fantasy before, and don't tend to pick players that are not selected for round 1. But your helpful comment about his JS will be taken...
Well, thank you for that insight. Would you like a list of players that over the course of the next 10 days may not play round 1. I think it is about 800 odd players long.....
...and whilst this is true, you would have to say that it is not unreasonable given the circumstances that Cousins averages 80, which is not bad for a player priced at 45.
Which is why I ask the question as to the intentions for Liberatore.
Cousins potentially makes money faster, and I don't...
You are probably right on the JS. I do feel that Libba and Cousins will average about the same. I suppose it depends on how long you need them for before you upgrade.
Maybe it's just me, but you seem to be saying one thing and then providing evidence for the opposite thing.
I agree, that of the list of premiums you provide, only Setterfield is really an option.
Of the cheaper forwards, I already have Drew, Parker and Burgess, with Drew on the field.
Whilst...
I don't remember, I think it was around 5000, but it could well have been closer to 10,000.
I did get an invite for DIV 4 last year but didn't join due life. Would have easily finished last if i did.
Ok. So given the lack of basement priced rookies at this stage, I've deleted my team and started again working from the bottom up. The rookie selections are based on those most likely to play round 1 (based on team selections for JLT2) and ignoring those that have really limited scoring...
