The latest applicant to the Ophidian Academy is Dudikins a wiry tough character who will not want to share the kitty litter box with Bonz. I always stated we would be bringing in new players from outside of BigFooty, you might like it to be incestuous but we at the Spotswood Campus have recruited outside of this pond to see if we cannot expand the user base of this forum.

Innovative. I'm looking forward to more and hope they can be active contributors to this league. I guess we won't know till next season. It's no different to any rookie though in reality. You might recruit a rookie with 20k posts but may never actually post in this league.

As long as they post before the season starts they're legal. The OOB knew they'd come in having to build a squad over a few seasons. Ideally, and I hope this is the case, is they have their minimum locked in with plenty of time.

yes bringing in new outside players and getting them to sign up to bigfooty is interesting.
So far we have Dudikins and 2inchmagic come on board. It will take time for them to figure the place out but by start of season hopefully they will start to feel their way around this strange place and learn to love the place like we all do.

You can't sign someone unless they have some kind of public confirmation that they've joined your club.

A rule that I brought in back in S27 and then everybody (including me) forgot about it so it wasn't enforced.

In fairness mate, the league expanded because of the excitement of bringing a new team and we were told this was just what the Sweet FA needed. Your six rookies and beyond (ie. the addition to the league that wasn't already here) shouldn't have to be asked to post.

They should start to integrate in the league at large I reckon, get used to the characters.

Yeah will need to either pop into the sign up thread or post some kind of acknowledgement of the team.

That will need to happen for all rookies / returning players going forward, ND informed all the committee reps earlier in the past season.

my question was do they need to specifically post they have joined the OOB, rather than having their name on the squad list submitted next month.

as for posting our intention is now the season is over to start ramping up and getting them to engage in the public arena as an official part of the comp. As you know new people in the SFA don't all get into it, time will tell how each of these characters engage.
