As we approach the end of the season, only three races remain: an all-in race to determine the final contenders for the ultimate loser and ultimate winner races. In these thrilling showdowns, the previous winners and losers from earlier races will go head-to-head, aiming to claim the prestigious titles of the Biggest Loser and Grand Champion of Las Vegas Racing.

As the underage gambler is leading the money board, we have decided to hand out large amounts of prizemoney to help you all catch him.

For this race, you won't have to risk any of your own money. Just give me the names of three racers, excluding yourself, and hope they perform well or really badly to win some cash. You automatically get yourself.

POSTING STATS UPDATE
It didn't go to plan onfield, but I remain proud of the part we can control ie we have achieved offield. Credit to tony - who is truly inspirational and leads from the front in threads and behind the scenes

The table below doesn't tell the full story in terms of sustained quality despite the drop-off in quantity (that mirrored the rest of the league and also reflected the lower posting opposition we encountered towards the end of the season). In any case, no matter how we look at things from a posting perspective, it is a massive accomplishment to have never dropped below 17 posters at any stage of the season and to have ended up with a mean and median of 20 each week.

Bring on Mad Monday/the Silly Season and I have no doubt we will be bigger and better next season!

With the Bears having the bye in Round 17, we were nice and fresh for our final match of the season. And it showed as we jumped the Rats in the opening quarter, scoring six goals to nil. Art Vandelay_ was the main goalkicker with three goals for the term. The 37-point margin at quarter time ended up being the final margin. The Rats were never able to significantly reduce the margin, with 26 points being the closest they ever got. The Bears did extend their lead to over 50 points but eased off the gas, allowing the Rats to kick a few goals late and reduce the gap slightly.

Tommycash was outstanding with 29 disposals, Electronic_Renaissance 25 and 7 tackles, Supersuns 24 and Millky95 20 and 12 tackles.

Art Vandelay_ lead the way with 4 goals, Broken kicked 3, Electronic_Renaissance, I Dont Care and Jezmiester40 all chipped in for 2, Millky95 1 and Muddiemoose must of put his glasses on cause he kicked accurately again for a goal.

With that, our season is now over, and we begin to prepare for the Best and Fairest and next season. I would like to thank everyone for participating this season and making it one of the best posting seasons for the Bears in recent memory. Because of this, it remained an incredibly enjoyable season, despite everything falling apart on the field in the latter half of the season.



End of Season Stats




Art Vandelay_'s 4 goals this week wasn't enough to beat Matera for the season but he kicked a very accurate 20.10 for the season. Matera92 was quite wasteful in front of goal with 24.24 for the season.
