After what felt like the longest pre-season ever and the never ending saga of changing fixtures, Round 1 finally arrived with the Roys coming to town. With 7 new players in the side, the big question was, would they all gel and find there feet quickly. The question was answered very quickly, with the Bears bursting out of the blocks in the first quarter kicking 5 goals to 1, with Bears new Full Forward Broken kicking 3 opening term goals. Cap in his new role of ruckman for S35 was dominant, giving the Bears midfield first opportunity with the ball and Supersuns feasted on it, with a huge 35 touches for the game and when the Bears didn't get first use of the ball, the Roys would go nowhere with Electronic_Renaissance sweating on them all game, amassing 12 tackles for the day. With a very even contribution across the board the Bears would run away with an easy 33 point win.

Make sure to check out the ladder, its looking pretty good at the moment with the Bears sitting on top.

Posting wise we had 22 posters join us for Round 1, which is the best the Bears have had in a long time.
