Chad Warner
When the Sydney Swans swept up Chad Warner with pick 39 at the 2019 AFL Draft, they secured a youngster with an insatiable appetite for the contest. Warner attacks the ball and opponents with aggression and is relishing calling midfield bulls Josh Kennedy and Luke Parker his teammates at the Swans. Warner impressed for Western Australia in the 2019 AFL Under-18 Championships, averaging 18.2 touches (50 per cent contested), 3.2 clearances and 6.8 tackles per game. He also tallied an average of 27.1 disposals, 6.4 clearances and 7.4 tackles per match at Colts level for East Fremantle in 2019. He earned his AFL debut against Richmond in Round 6 of the 2020 season, recording eight disposals and two tackles.

DOB: 19 May 2001

It seems like a very odd thing to me.

Doors 7.30pm. Show 8pm.

Is Chad going to come out and do a few Sinatra numbers?
I agree. Love the Swans and Chad but after the GF, I'd struggle to pay $50 to see him play footy let alone sit on a stage answering Dorothy dixers. You can bet he will answer the elephant in the room with the usual non committal response.

I'll pay good money to see and listen to someone like Sir David Attenborough (I have) or a concert (I have many times) but to listen to a footballer? YMBFJ! I pay my Gold Membership and watch them play 11 times a year plus a few VFL plus home finals plus AFLW. That does me nicely thankyou very much.

Manager and club won’t let him out there without a choreographed answer

"I am just looking forward to this season and will be focusing on getting the swans a premiership in 2025"

Can Chad just hurry up and extend?!

The Freo and Eagles no-hopers on the main board, that are arguing about who will get to rip us off the most in a trade, are getting on my nerves.
Get a big box of popcorn or corn chips or splurge on some nachos.:p

Then go to these bogus threads and enjoy.

Chip in (pun intended) with your nonchalant two cents worth occasionally. Very supportive of their ambitious attempts to lure and take him though upping the ante at the same time.

These threads reek. Of. Over confidence. Counting your chickens before they hatch. Impending disappointment. :(

Spill some nachos on yourself laughing when he resigns.:D

Eating popcorn while one of our best ever young players walks to another team for 50% of his value sounds okay, but I would rather just eat the popcorn and not have the other part.

I'd even pass on the popcorn to be honest and leave all of it.

What would you see as a fair price should he request a trade to the Eagles assuming the same finishing positions in 2025?

Assuming Warner is one of the best 20 players in the league at the end of the year, which he is now, I would say 3 and another first round pick between 10 and 15 would be a fair trade.

West Coast would still be winning that deal.

You cannot change a players desire to leave. Either be pragmatic about it and go along with it and take the scraps that you get in return, or be angry that AFL rules allow players to be traded between clubs. I prefer the former.

He has his priorities. The Swans have their desires.

BTW I reckon he will stay for 2. i think he knows he is on a good wicket. Then leave(but we may convince him otherwise by then). But I am not privy to any intel. Just his partners desire to go home.
