But why the putrid public hatred and character assassination of a premiership player who doesn’t pick the side. Being more and more horrible about it doesn’t make your opinion more and more right. You will get disagreements because our coach has delivered absolute glory glory glory glory glory glory and it’s the coach you are angry with not the player who is doing his best .

Tell me besides his kicking for goal eg Richo Bolton etc you know those types that drive us crazy in front of goal because they are shocking kicks for goal . which other parts of Castanga’s game do you rate as elite and those you would class as standard and those below AFL.?
I’ll give you some ideas to work with
speed .. winning own ball … gut running …winning one on ones …. creating space …following coaches orders … selfishness…keeping ball in forward line…. applying pressure… marking ….leading …passing evasiveness….hand balling .. shepherding ..leading …tackling .. bravery … determination… will to win .

We should be enjoying our time as Richmond supporters not having to feel we have to defend and distance our self from bullying and ridicule from supporters who have lost the plot.

I don’t give a rats toss bag if Catstangas time is up .. just let him go with respect and dignity.

I’ve been where you have been but not during era of unparalleled success and quickly shut up once we won a premiership.
Such that a position can be put. If the the player puts out shockers then that is discussed. Previous seasons should not relevant here, the recent game performance of player is the focus.

The continual selection of a poorly performing players is on match review. They make the call to select.

The BF forum and happily the Tigers board allows reasonable freedom for comment. A good thing. Not an expectation that comment is accurate, consistent, positive or sacrosanct.

As good as GhostofJimJess post is, There is freedoms allowed to expand comments ghosts boundaries that ghost sets personally.

Oh, I said sacrosanct!!!

And you dominating with glorification and beatification of Saint George.
But tell;l us again, Hardwick 'would have noticed George' last week.
Which I guess is why he dropped him.
Tail between legs in the Tropics.
since early in the season I have maintained that George is about our 25th/26th best player on the list in normal circumstances...... and injury to others, horses for courses and players day roles will see him scrape in the side or be a subby or depth.

They never let go and never move on.
Why there were a dozen or so posters pre and early in the season calling for Caddy's inclusion on the strength of 2018 form, when in reality the bloke couldn't keep up and needed a tram to get to the ball.
And those still thinking Edwards is going to start delivering 2018-19 form after a barren stretch of being carried.
I bet it was the same core extolling the virtues of that all so crucial to our setup Vickery years ago while he was sinking new lows back when.
And then George, who has not been near it in two seasons.
We ALL appreciate his three flags contribution and respect it, but it's not a job-for-life scenario.
For some of us, we live in the here and now and the recent past counts more than anything and that's where JC is lacking, no matter how much his tyres are pumped up.
We can do better than him in the side. But as you correctly say, that is on the match committee.

i hope the MC keep picking him so i can have a laugh at wanna be experts like you who think this type of posting is a good thing and helps our club
MC doesn't read big footy obviously ... kept picking Brando back in the day...so the debate never ended. If Edwards goes around again I'll spew. MC naming George in the 22 but then dropped him is new torture by Dimma.
I'm having a go at selected players skills or lack thereof.

Medi sub castanga. Keeps racking up the games. Only has to do a little in the vfl to get the call up over others
Won’t matter in finals
Dusty will be back in and someone else will be the sub

Teams playing much better without Castagna
Helps with everyone nearly fit

get your point but we also get it that you can be completely wrong like in this case.....george wan't dropped he was retained as sub again and when/if we have a full list he makes way as obviously grimes, dusty and probably ross are ahead of him and maybe 1 or 2 others as well.

Is his running elite ? Is his speed elite ? What do you. think ? What you have to do is work out why an AFL coach who picked him to play every game during our most successful era coming out of our most dismal period .
2017 must have been a living hell for some of our supporters. Happy yet very very angry.
It’s 2022 mate and he’s not AFL standard anymore. Everything prior to 2020 is now irrelevant.

Castagna has now become depth and in the 25-35 player range and with players like Clarke , MRj , Cumberland and maybe Stack if he stays his games will be limited.

Looks like he should ask Higgins & butler if there is a spare locker at St Kilda
