I know what you mean, Bruce. We’re still a club that fights it out. At the very least you gotta be happy with that.I think there’s a lot to like about that loss. Yes we were flogged (with help) in that first half but we didn’t lie down and we came back hard against a good side.
We support a side with character, and that’s a big takeaway from tonight.
not good enough tonight mostly insipid
fought back sure but even then pissed it away
Need to lower my expectations and accept that were are a borderline top 8 side with some overrated players.
heeney 2 score involvements ….
When he was out bodied and outmarked by saad in the most limp wristed effort, I was done with him.bells crap only his immediate family or someone with a guide dog can’t see it

Don’t know what to feel. First quarter was serviceable. Second disgusting. Third very good and fourth full of wasted chances.
Small forwards positioning is just not right. Never front and centre. Never over the back. Always competing in the air. What do we expect when we have a midfielder for a forward coach.
Our small defenders are constantly getting caught too high up the ground. Crazy the amount of times they were 30 out from goal while their opponent waltzed in from 15 out.
Proud of the fight back. Frustrated that we had to.
As for the umpiring. The game is ducked when we have forwards getting holding frees up one end yet the same thing is ignored down the other. The game is ducked when players are repeatedly caught holding the ball and drop it yet get rewarded for holding the man. The game is ducked when our players are getting arms chopped and punched in the head in marking contests and aren’t rewarded. And the game is ducked when a player can smother the ball from inside the 5 and the umpire calls play on after the smother is made.
Was thinking of going to watch the twos. Think I’m too annoyed to bother trekking over the other side of town.
Was giving it to Mills and a few others during the game.Hewett seemed too happy to beat us in the post game interview.
Maybe no love lost between him and the club.

if the heart wasn't there we wouldn't have got back within 2 goals.Anyway if we make the 8 we are passengers in week one by the looks.
Time to get it right for next year.
Ladhams is not an answer to any question we have. Ollie back why? Helped us when forward. Paps in centre bounces, why, zero impact. If there is a more overpaid player in the league than Heeney I can't think of it. His output is so inconsistent. Just beats up on poor sides and goes missing so often. So many disposals for nothing in reality.
Too many passengers going around the team.
Can't recall a softer swans side in my time watching. Such a shame. Talent is there, not the heart.
Paddy and Mills tried their guts out.
Stephens, Gould may as well be delisted. If they can't break into this side then they are busts.
Fox still working his way back from injury in the VFL. Still not sure about the back 6, we need more but not sure where its going to come from.Don't mind O'Riordan down back. Strangely reliable.
What's Fox doing these days in the VFL?
