As Ponting said during the WTC fiunal, the Dukes sometimes doesn't start swinging until a few overs in. It certainly is a barer pitch than normally expected in England in June, though.
Which is why Starc is out, the bowlers picked should be able to keep it tight - line is not right so far, but its very early.
