yeah, but what nationality are the DRS operators?
I'm not sure what the nationalities are of the DRS operators. Given DRS is independent from the host broadcasters, overseen by neutral umpires and approved and monitored by the ICC, I'm not going to get into fanciful conspiracies about manipulation of the data it produces.

When in Australia, it is operated by Australians. Are you suggesting that they are also in on favouring the team of their origin?

When it first came out, DRS stood for Dharmasena Requires Spectacles :).

Either Starc, Neser or Murphy in for Boland in the next match. Figures of 2/127 with a blown our economy rate of app 5.5 is a wake up call for Barrel.

But who will bowl those overs AND bat five making the 75 runs we needed to win?

All Cummins can do now is pray for rain, he's been out captained by Stokes and our two best batsmen have failed in both innings, 174 more to get in one day is not impossible, but it's going take a big score from Usman, Head, Green or Carey to do it. Hopefully, Boland can paddle it around for a bit in the first hour and allow Usman to score freely? You would have to say the Poms have us by the short and curlies at the moment.

It's scenarios like this when I question whether a pinch hitter can be thrown up the order and go in next like Cummins. If it comes off and we get a partnership of 40-50, 120 to go with potentially Khawaja in still, then Head, Green, Carey and then the rest to come in feels doable. This has the feel of the usual quick collapse. Something different and creative perhaps? I'm sure I'm missing a fairly good reason not to do this

When did English cricket crowds start making noise and behaving like football crowds?
Don't get me wrong...I love it.
Reckon the 2005 series might have kicked started it.

Starc could have been perfect for this don’t feel we need one though just bat normally the runs will come

Alex Carey is the first Australian Test wicket keeper to capture three stumpings in a single Test in England, additionally he did not concede a single bye ,the first Aussie since Adam Gilchrist to do so in the Old Dart.
Must be close to the current world best keeper. Probably out of him and Foakes.

Sadly, not sure we have the temerity to be bold like England have been.

Forecast looks like clouds/rain until early evening if that helps
