Could be the worst week in Dangerfields life.
Monday night putting the Brownlow medal around Dustys neck even after getting the most votes himself to rocking up on Saturday and losing the GF while watching his ex team mates win a flag.
The stuff of nightmares that is.
Oh, please.
OH PLEEEAAASE ... to knock that sh it-eating good-old-boy grin off his mug.

So I'm in charge of buying 18 tickets tomorrow. One query though, one of the crew I'm with is essential crows and is under the impression they can pick where they want to sit in the members - i told them you get best available regardless of your members ticket. Correct?

I think thats the case. It's the best way to maximise attendance. Nothing is more annoying then going to purchase a ticket only to see individual seats at the end of rows or even in the middle etc. Not very appealing.

It looks like a seat in the Western Stand could be about $20 more than last year, i.e. about $95 compared to $75. Not sure if that's even a reserved seat. Could the price put people off? I guess there are much cheaper seats in other sections.
The word "additional" on the ticketek website gives me hope that those prices are for guest passes.

Compared to Subiaco last week that's a bargain. I got a ticket with my membership but additional tickets were $61. General admission for a home and away game...

Should go down with the new stadium next year.

Wow that'll be fun, that's 3 separate transactions if you do it online!!

My guess is that members will not snaffle all the tickets, because many members won't go for various reasons, just as they do during the season (plus Thursday night game).
- I also predict a massive crowd, for that same reason. The game will sell out and because it will all be "bought a ticket for this match because I want to go" and not no-show members, there won't be too many no-shows.

Edit: A small amount of research tells me AO finals have struggled to get to 50K. So maybe not.
Those who remember last year will recall how BS the AFL ticketing system is.

There were about 4 desperate releases last year (I think partly to prevent scalping). We could only get 3x cat 3 tickets together an hour into the Members release. However had I waited until the day before I could have booked 7x cat 1 seats on the western wing.

The AFL run this as a sh!t show andmemvets often get worse seats than the general public

1.45-2.75 seems like a big margin for 1 vs 4.
From memory we were longer against the Swans last year and then pretty hot favourites against the Bulldogs in the PF. Your clearly entitled to be favourites though. I'm a bit contrary in the sense I dont think the ground matters much in finals. I dont think the Geelong loss is that big a deal either.
Your team matters though and it's awesome looking from the outside.

Last year when everyone was saying that the Swans would beat you in the QF 'because experience', I didn't buy it. But I was still very impressed (and intimidated) by the way you bullied the Swans into submission that afternoon. That was when I thought 'Shit's got real. GWS are two wins away from a flag.'

I think home ground advantage will have a massive role to play. You guys hate playing Adelaide Oval as much as we hate playing Kardinia Park.

We will happily wear the 'favourites' tag coming into this match, and will have to cop the 'chokers' tag if we lose. Would be 2005 all over again if you beat us.

I think every supporter that cares about their team is a bit stressed this time of the year. The better your team the more the expectation and pressure. I drink more rum around finals time than any other.
You'll be very hard to beat, but nothings certain. I wont be thinking choke until after the semi at least if it goes that way.

It's frustrating isn't it. But we as fans just have to keep believing. I think we are very much the best team in the comp this year and Sydney are the over rated team. There is not one single excuse as to why we should not be at the MCG on grand final day. We are good enough, the question is whether we choke.

Sydney? The team that was the best side in the comp last year, the team that has won 14 of 16 is overrated?

Wowee you're a harsh critic
