AAAAAAAAAAARGH!
agree, but michael bevan will be rememberedThats awesome for him but it comes at an expense that no one will know who he is or was at the end of his career. Only Test players are remembered or admired.

Doesn’t matter if what is happening is ignored by those in CA and unfortunately those of us who were once some part if the system have been pushed to the margins by the “new thinkers”.
Times have changed but we have dismantled the system that made cricket strong and what is in its place is clearly a failure
Too right he's not. He was a small nuggety imposing opener.

lol. No he wasn’t. He was 70 kilos during his playing days and only got close to ‘nuggety’ by the time he was in his mid to late 30s.
It’s just interesting all that stuff about every piece of data being wrong and you being right, hey.
When the easy money takes over it will always then be used as the "saviour"Doesn’t matter if what is happening is ignored by those in CA and unfortunately those of us who were once some part if the system have been pushed to the margins by the “new thinkers”.

I do like how Langer is apparently some bulking afl player or something. Why do we need a Hayden type or something they are exceptions than the norm.

Do I need to?
You mean like this guy?

What the f**k it matters is absolutely anyone’s guess.
I’m sure the selectors will rush to adopt your ‘pick rugby players to partner Khawaja’ policy and ignore 150 years of test cricket data
Yeah.
Bradman
Tendulkar
Lara
Ponting
Gavaskar
that's just a start.
There are notable exceptions like Hayden, Gower.
But overall I think being small helps you move and react quicker.
Because apparently bowlers with an average of 19 and 180 test wickets in 40 tests will be intimidated by bulky bodies with batting averages of 30.
Massive fan, should be next cab off the ranksGood point. Stats show Buckingham has dropped form past 12/18 months. I'd pick Fergus O'Neil
Lol Langer skinny![]()
Smith and Tendulkar are small and skinny? He isn’t bulky whatever way you look at it. We aren’t picking a bloke just because they are tall we will pick them as they can bat! Being tall has zero to do with being a good bat. Smith is hardly some hulking bloke, Sachin Tendulkar wasn’t either.
Good point. Stats show Buckingham has dropped form past 12/18 months. I'd pick Fergus O'Neil, been consistent for two seasons, bowled well in his only A series and is only 23. Neil-Smith has promise as a specialist seamer to replace Hazlewood but needs to find consistency. I like WA lefty Liam Haskett too. Been out for months now, suspect back trouble.
Tendulkar was not small and skinny.
What the **** does size of a player matter

People say he's too slow for test cricket but I don't buy that shit
